Timezone is wrong on the forum.

Post by kimokalihi »

I set my timezone for pacific standard time and it's always an hour behind. It says it's 6:20 but it's really 7:20 right now.

I don't think this problem was present with the old board.

Anybody else notice this?

I looked at the time settings. It's set for system time of GMT, and is supposed to adjust for daylight savings time.

I'm not sure where the server is located, but I would guess it's an issue with day light savings.

Per USNO daylight savings is in effect right now. I just checked my Control Panel and Summer Time/DST was OFF. Changing it to ON, corrected the time to what it should be for Pacific (-8 GMT).

Ya'll have daylight savings enabled or disabled?

Yeah mine was turned off. I didn't even see that before. Only saw the drop menu. Looks to be the correct time now.

Same here....mine was off in my profile as well.

We'll see if we have to change it back in the fall or if it automatically adjusts.
