440cc fuel injectors

Post by kleinkid »

I purchased four 440cc fuel injectors from Japan and they arrived three days later. They arrived packaged very well and are in great shape, with new soft goods(o-rings etc.). $112.00 including shipping to the Seattle area. Purchased from the following e-bay seller

hey have been looking to service my injectors. which ones are these. ihave a 90 N/A. think grey tops so not sure if these work? also these are brand new or they have been cleaned. this would help a lot since i have to work a lot and i could just plug and play and not have to wait for them to return mine.

These will not work for you, and they are remanufactured (not brand new).

I too purchased 440cc's from this same ebay seller, theglobesavinggroup. Took about a week to get to Seattle. Injectors all appear to be in good condition and just as the pictures show. Order up a few remaining gaskets and install them in a few weeks :D.

IIRC, you'll need NA fuel rails to complete the swap. (as well as some fuel management)

440cc 'grey tops' fit just fine into the stock turbo fuel rail.

yeah I saw that....

I have been all over this web site... already looked at that thread but no where does it give a part number for the Injector. Any fool can plainly see all the part numbers to make the JDM 440's work but I need the Injector part number itself.

So, you have plainly seen all the part numbers. OK, now I'll try to help you. Try 16611AA231, probably won't show up in USDM parts catalogues.

this may be a stupid queation, but would these be a decent upgrade from the ones on my stock 93 n/a? Or are these just for turbo models? just trying to find out what i can do to get a little extra hp out of my 2.2l.

440s would be way too much for your N/A, you could look for some turbo legacy injectors... they might help with a little power, but not much

they're like 370cc

Thanks. Btw, what cc are the stock legacy injectors currently in my n/a? I'm really just looking to give it a tiny little upgrade from the stock n/a setup, I know its not gonna gain like 20hp off injectors or anything. I'm still new to the forums, so I appreciate you guys taking the time to answer my stupid questions.

Putting higher flow injectors in a otherwise stock, or even somewhat modified EJ22 (i.e. your car) will not give you any power. In fact it will most likely cause your motor to run horribly (very rich).

Larger injectors can ALLOW for more power, but do they do not GIVE power unless the motor is starved for fuel. Use the $ some other way. :)

Thanks for the info. I do not plan to keep the engine stock for long, but do plan on keeping it n/a and want to explore my options. I had read somewhere about larger injectors paired w/ upgraded pistons/rods producing power in n/a ej22s. Is this false info?
