My latest was good, but bad.

Launch is down to 1.97 or so. But 15.4 et at 87.

I am lauching at 4k.

I don't know if I am down on power or the heavier flywheel is keeping my power down.

My best time is 17.9 sec at 74 mph...
94 Legacy AWD, 2.2 NA.
Altitude is about 5500-5700 feet at the strip and temperature was 93 degrees.
At given altitude and temperature, engine generates only 78% of its rated power - that's my excuse for being so slow.
In a couple weeks I will install my new exhaust. Maybe that will help a little.

I'm not much into drag racing, but surpised at times you guys pulling. I have been to the drags in my local town and there are many standard looking 1600cc Hondas going under 15 seconds.

I have a Legacy and a Honda. The Legacy feels alot quicker than the Honda, but Honda revs alot harder - I should line them up one day.

Like someone else said up there, my Legacy has a turbo restrictor so probably not that impressive on the 1/4 mile - but I would guess less than 15secs.

What time should as stock standard RS Legacy do? Hell, what time would a stock standard RS-RA legacy do?

Another guy in my rally car club has an EVO 3 RS and with a restrictor in he did a 12.4 on the 1/4 mile. Wow!

Almost all on New Zealand is bascially just off sea level which may help times???

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

"lost" a piston.

Had I had any sort of traction, I should have been down in the mid-12's....... "shoulda coulda woulda"

It was damn slick. I did a full spin out in 1st and 2nd all the way to redline, shifted to 3rd, got traction and got a 14 sec et and a 105 trap!

Went to Subiefest.... Wow, ALOT of people/subarus/rain......

Had a great time. got there at 10 am, just got back at 11 pm... I stayed to drag race of course

3 personal bests.

1.808 60' time
110.89 mph trap
12.779 ET.

All of the above were different runs. I did get 3 12.7 runs in though, all at 109.xx!

Had serious slipping clutch issues for the first 4-5 runs. Then either I broke it in, or I adjusted it that 1/8" it needed, who knows for sure, but the damn thing is holding!!!!

Nice livestrong... can you give us some more specifics? (60', 330', 1/8mi...) And what do you spin the EJ20G to?

I look forward to running my SS in May when the track opens around here. I just installed a VF12 and am running it at ~12psi as well (also 3" CES TBE, A/W IC, pulley, and some suspension stuff) I was hoping for some solid low-mid 90 traps. We're at over a mile high here, so time suffer a bit.... best stock 2.0wrx run I've seen was 15.0 @ 90mph (worst was 16.3 @ 86 - auto wagon). I know I can walk a stock 2.0wrx so I hope I can best the 90mph by a decent amount... only time will tell

Got a 1.776 60' time.... But had some other troubles that kept me from having a "good" night.

This coming weekend should be good though.... Shouldnt have trouble getting a 12.5 or better....

Best 60', best 1/8th, best 1/4 and best trap, all wrapped up in one!

Two good runs, both breaking old personal records

60' 1.792 1.776
1/8th 8.078 8.024
mph 84.63 86.01
1/4 12.521 12.565
mph 112.26 109.90

By the end of the night, I was pushing 28ish psi, and the clutch was giving up in 4th gear. The 109 mph run, I had to let up on the gas twice in 4th. :( I have the power to go faster, but not a pressure plate to hold it.

Drove it home happy, even with the weird three cylinder miss back, haha.

28 psi! Plus the windshield washer fluid injection! And it helps I was getting some awesome launches.

Yeah, the clutch is weird. It will hold fine drag launching 1st,2nd 3rd, and sometimes 4rth. But if you try to boost on the freeway while starting in 4rth/5th, it will just give out. But only on the way home.... On the way to the strip it holds fine....?

I believe that's the same time and speed as my automatic '84 GL wagon (also gray). A 1/4 mile run in it was basically no different to the car than pulling onto a highway.

Nevermind, it was 19.6 @ 66 mph. But she could walk an Escort like she was standing still.
