Sweet jake! nice traps.

I see you run a td05, so assume it's a 16g. what kinda boost are you running? and is it still under stock ECU control?

Nice lookin' ride too man! (it's the rotating pic I'm looking at as I type this) Are those 17's you're running at the track too!?!?!?

Yep, its a 16g. i run 17ish psi (the boost controller is kind of finnicky so it sometimes creeps). yep, stock ecu control still, i have the 440cc injectors and it runs massively rich so i'm working on getting a perfect power so it can be leaned out for more powaaa!! .

i am running 17's, but they're my bbs wheels, not the prodrives

Well, until I ate all the gears off of 1st gear, my best on the new untuned motor was 13.1 @ 105 @ 14 psi.....

So I'll add my info the 1/4 mi thread here.

Best run at ~6000ft above sea level:

60' - - 1.994
1/8 - - 9.58 @ 71.69
1/4 - - 15.08 @ 89.79

(This would be good for about a 14.5 @ 94 at sea level)

I was shooting for a high 14@90, and I ALMOST got there :D

next year, next year. This only fueled my need to go fastAr. Engine management will be MINE!! haha

The G-Tech always rates 1/4 mile WAY quicker than it actually is.

and 8 seconds is the stock 0-60 for an SS...

I've had a bit of luck with getting pretty close times on track runs with the g-tech being a few 1/100'ths off of the 1/4 mile timeslip. Generally speaking in my experience the g-tech matches my 2 local tracks up to the 1/10ths of a second, then it is slower than 1 of the tracks (by about .05ish) & is faster than the other track (by .02-.04).

That said something sounds wrong with the above 1/4mile time, as 14.5's should have terminal speed in the 90's.
Terminal speeds of 100ish mph should be in the 13's.

I suspect the g-tech moved on the run & gave a bad time.
When using these things on their own you should make a few runs to see what the average is - eliminating outliers to get a better idea on what the car is doing .

I have to bring my SS to the track (re-opens 03/08) & see what it does.

Stock 0-60 on my 4eat was 9.70 seconds on the g-tech - slow as crap.
Best 0-60 run so far was 5.05 seconds - a little better....

My 87 RX ran:

60' in 1.94 seconds
1/8 mile in 9 flat
1/4 in 14.20@93mph

There was a lot of work done to this car but it was all under $800, including the car! Stock engine ea82t, cams, and turbo!

Now I have a 91 Legacy LS and I think I'll be in the 13's this year. But first I have to figure out a little hesitation under boost issue...

First Track outing on the SS.

Stock 95 WRX GF8 EJ20G running on SS ECU & sensors, TDO4 @ 14psi, 4EAT, K&N, FMIC, & 3"TBE - full weight + me = 3340lbs.

60' 2.415
330' 6.290
1/8th 9.486
MPH 76.28
1000 12.258

1/4 14.594
MPH 96.41

No brake torque - just stepped on the gas which explains the SLOW 60's.
This is about the same as letting the clutch out @ idle & flooring a 5 spd car.

I'm sure I could have knocked 1-2 tenths off this time by brake torquing the car (.1 quicker 60' = .15-.2 seconds quicker 1/4 mile ET), but did not want to get stuck 60 miles from home.

G-tech was in the car on the pass too, & was .1 second slower than the official track time.

Best 1/8th on the G-tech was 8.877 on the TD04 + alky + 18-16psi boost taper.
The TD05 + headers + Perrin pulley will be going on now & the alky is going to get fixed!

i ran my car last night at PIR. at 14psi on a 16g with tbe and a front mount.

starting the night with a R/T .393, 15.2 @ 91.0mph

and my 4th run i got R/T -.034 14.7 @ 98.4

then my fifth run my cutch was too hot and wouldnt hold any gears.
i wasn't able to get fast launches because of my clutch but all my r/t times where really good. .169, .063, -.034

so when i get a new clutch, install my injectors and tune my car at 20psi i should be in the high 13's.

A 98MPH trap speed = quicker than 14.7, you may be closer to 13s than you think.
Jake15 = 98.66MPH / 14.18 et
Livestrong14 - 96.34MPH / 14.205 et

What were your 60' & 1/8 mile times?

A (-) reaction time is a red light so you were too quick off the start on the last pass.

I used a calculator and that trap "should" put him at about a 13.7.

The calculator I used seems to be fairly accurate... It put stock STi times at 301 hp traps speed.

I am going off of the trap speed... because, well, time includes mishifts, and clutches, well, you know.

(And this is crank hp)

I ran a 16.7 the other night. This is on stock boost and H2O/meth.
This was my best run of the night. My car has a weird surging when under boost. Most runs were around 17.2.

This thing barely did better than my stock 93 N/A!!!

Is your car a 4EAT or 5spd?
Did you try running the car without Meth?

My 4eat SS did 9.70s 0-60's timed by a G-Tech Pro when it was 100% stock which would have put it @ a high 16-low 17 1/4mile.

My 14.5 second track pass had a 6.03 0-60 time (G-Tech on the car! during the pass)

The best 0-60 I have done on the street in the SS timed by the G-Tech was 5.05s.

June 21,2008 at PIR.

R/T - .145
60' - 2.281
1/4 - 15.689
MPH - 85.86

94 Legacy GT wagon, turbo motor swap.
2.5" Exhaust
Perfect Power SMT6
TMIC
Stock turbo @ 12 psi
Auto trans.

Great off the line. After 60 MPH its a total dog. I thought it would do better. Although with the automatic, even when shifting manually it won't upshift before 6K and the power band drops off after 4500. I need a manual shift box I guess.

I had it dyno tuned at PDX tuning about 3 or 4 months ago. It put down 165 WHP and 172 ft-lbs at around 4600 rpm and I haven't changed anything since, but if you think I can squeeze more out of it, then by all means lets do it. 12 to 14 psi on the VF11 is about all you want push on that small turbo right?

Wait... I did put in a new auto tranny.

I'm in the slow auto boat with you - but I'm on a stock ECU & mods are posted above.
Your 60' times are BETTER than mine, but I did trap 96.41MPH which shows a bit of the cars potential.
Did you brake torque the car off the line or does the VF11 spool that fast?

Thinking back on my couple of track passes with the SS I put the car in D4 lined up & floored it off idle - about 100-150' before the traps the car shifted from 3rd-4th (about 6k).
I bet the car could have gone through the traps in 3rd with no probs saving me a couple tenths on the ET - D3 would have done this, but I never tried it.

I never tried manually shifting the car as thats just too much work & would require a bit of input/attention from the driver - I like that anyone can jump in this car put it in D4 & run the same times I did

I'm going to go with a t-convertor & v-body on the SS eventually - hopefully sooner than later which should get 60' times down & improve ETs.
The 16G in the car now needs RPMs off the line to respond reasonably well but once its spooled up it has significantly better top-end than the TD04.

Funny thing I put McFrosty's 85.86mph trap speed & a 3350lb weight estimate in the this HP calculator & came up with 165WHP which is what he says he made on the Dyno.
