Turns out the boost issue is/was/fingers crossed wastegate blowing open. Added a helper spring. Now BIG boost.....

Yeah, double your spring pressure is about the max you should run. Hopefully your helper spring solves the issue.

Just went up to Lebanon Valley Dragway with my dad, I took my 1993 Subaru Legacy L Sedan 5 speed FWD and he took his Ram 3500 Megacab. My best run was 17.466 seconds @ 81.23 mph. That was half a second faster than my old FWD legacy wagon. My dad's best run was like 12.1 seconds @ 115 mph with his 7,500 pound truck. Oh well, I lost every race but I had pretty good reaction times and it was fun.

That truck must not be stock. I know there are chip upgrades. According to the online 1/4 mile calculators, he'd be over 800HP, but I know diesels (unless he's got the Hemi??) are torque monsters.

P.S. It's all about the fun!

Hello everyone, long time reader now posting esp since I finally have a touring wagon. I bought the car stock and have done the following with a ton of credit given to 555bcturbo and my own sponge-like interest in these cars; vf-8, usdm wrx topmount, na 5spd swap (stock na clutch/flywheel/pressure plate), eibach wrx springs, mbc, tmic waterspray, wrx seats, boost gauge, etc. Completely stock fuel system and exhaust.

At street legals last week the best I ran was a 16.079 @84.48 with a .259 R/T and a 2.235 60 foot. I got seven runs total and they ranged from 16.07 to 16.38 with mph between 83.1 and 85.77.

I hoped to be a bit quicker (who doesnt right?) but was satisfied with it considering 10psi/stock exhaust/slipping na clutch. So anyways thats my two cents.

Ran my (still) stock Touring Wagon on saturday. Best run was 16.79@79.97mph, with full power-braking. I'm sure I'm loosing a 10th or 2 in the 2-3 shift which just isn't kicking as hard as it used to.

But the TD04/AWIC/3"TBE/550s/Robtube I'm piecing together should make up for it. Until the trans explodes anyways.

Made 10 runs with my TD04, Apexi Intake, 3" catless DP (open), diamond coilpack, and JDM AWIC w/'09 STS-V heat exchanger and Jabsco Cyclone pump. And a hallman pro mbc.

Best run was 15.96@83.55mph hitting fuel cut 100ft from the finish, compared to my 16.79@80mph last time. This is still on stock tune/fuel system. I'm actually faster hitting fuel cut before the finish than if I dial it out, by 0.5 seconds.

It should also be noted that my trans is shifting slower than it did on my March run. All that Auto-X is making my poor 4EAT sleepy...

That calculator does not accommodate for altitude. Where 5280ft above sea level in Denver. 13's not likely. Lower 14's maybe.

16.4 seems a bit slow . Is this car automatic? I would think 15.5 sounds more realistic w/ your mods.
