Drag

Post by NICO »

i tested my new legacy at the drag strip, im the 1108 car.
Image

how come im not fast ? i dont get it this motor makes more power then the last one. i cant get out of the hole in first gear with out boging the car, this car is harder to drvie for some reason. im think cuz of the longer wheel base ???

im starting to think i really suck at doing this drag raceing thing. there must be something not working right in my set up, is it my lsd system should i have a dccd.

i give up on the drag raceing !!!

Is that a .004 RT on the right slip?
The strip is not a Subie's natural environment. Take it to your local autocross, or put some taller legs under her and take out rallycrossing. Then you can fully appreciate the Subaru's performance potential.

89 in the 1/8th is good for about 320-350 whp, while 110-111 trap is less.... I don't remember what turbo you are using, but it looks like you are running out of steam in 4th....

And yeah, its ALL in the 60' for good ets...... I trap what, 116/117 but et at 13.0?!?!?!? All because of my lack of limited slip.....

Nico, are you running a DCCD trans without a controller? If so, when the rear wheels slip, it pretty much is an open center diff.

That could explain your bad 60' times.

beatersubi: the R/T is .804 on the right.

douglas i am running a aps sr56 turbo it should be a good size turbo no ?

dan: no its just a non dccd 6mt.

i can get a better time if rev it to the max and dump the clutch, but i dont want to blow up my drive train.
