Asphalt is NOT gravel!!!

Post by soobrdad02 »

Anyone else see this???

http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles ... o%20NASCAR

Knowing about his frequent crashes in MX because of his urge to win and reckless abandon means that I MAY actually watch a NASCAR race....but probably not.

So lame. NASCAR bores me to death. Nothing ever happens.

Aren't the NASCAR vehicles asymmetrically set up so they turn left naturally?

Pastrana excels in his first stock car race

Post by kleinkid »

Travis Pastrana did very well in his first stock car race Saturday Jan. 29, 2011. He finished in sixth place in a K&N Series car. I watched the whole race live on Speed Channel. He did very well. 40 cars started the race.

Works his tail off too outside the car. The workout video on the DC site just makes me respect him all the more.

Any info on why he didn't look to F1, which I thought was the 'top form of racing', but not per TP:

No way he'd get into F1

But that's a ridiculous statement from him.

I didn't think NASCAR was racing at all. That's kind of like claiming WWE to be the top form of spectator fighting. Does he get a cape and fireproof tights?

you have to admitt though, there is alot going in NASCAR. those cars are very unstable, it is a suprise they can make money with as many wrecks as they do. the slightest bump will send them flying. i guess that is the excitment because you have to be very intune with you car and what the hell your doing. they are doing 180 and thats without drafting. however i am no expert so maybe someone can speak up but of course they probably wouldn't be on this forum lol.

I love watching the wrecks on youtube, but the rest of the race isn't interesting enough to hold my attention, unlike in-car rally video footage.
