Brake pads?

Post by ej22t »

Hi guys/gals!
Does anyone knows the 97-00 Forester or 97-99 Impreza RS front brake
pads are the same as our 92 Legacy turbo?
I am looking for a set of good brake pads for my car, after using 2
sets of GreenStuff I would like to use a set of pads that won't eat
my rotor.
I found out Hawk has an applications for Legacy but just from 97-01.
Does anyone knows the older impreza or Forester has the same caliper
as we has??

Ben

I find the stock Subaru items are actually quite good. Currently on Green stuff but I have heard that EBC specs are all over the place without much consistency.

Brake pads?

I know we have this discussion before ...

FYI, I am running UAP/NAPA semi -carbon pads on my legacy and have never had fade and they fell great. This includes running downhill stages at up to 100 mph in gravel in the middle of summer. Brake fluid has something to do with feel...

Brake pads?

Post by Mark Ward »

Hey Ben...

Just got back from Vancouver...

UAP Pads

Part number for front is AE7442X
Part number for rear is AE7351M
Or that may be reversed (Front number may be rear part number and visa versa)

Dont forget your brake fluid should be good as well (Ford DOT 3 is what I use)

I drive a 92 legacy turbo...its white and looks stock from the
outside minus a silver subaru sticker across the hood scoop, and red
brake calipers...there's normally a layer of mud on the car as well:)

take it easy

pads for Subaru Legacy Turbos? Will WRX pads work?
