Where is the ECU temperature sender. Not the one used for the temp.
gauge (unless they are the same) and what are the test values that it
should give if it is working correctly?
Any help greatly appreciated.

The two are right next to each other. One is a single connector with a spade
while the other is a dual connector that is brown if I remember right. They
are right below the Purge control valve.

I can get you the values that they should be when I get back in town on friday. However.....you can call up www.libertysubaru.com, get their phone number from site, and get a new temp sensor for $20!!! That's what I paid. They will usually ask you where you heard of them, when you tell them you want the part. Tell them a friend recommended to you, and they usually can give you a better price.
