More Boost

Post by Chris S. »

Okay, the game-plan is simple. I have a all but stock 91 turbo sedan,
all it has are the GR2's on it.
Goal: I want to safely get more boost for higher street performance,
but not kill my engine.
Here are the rules: 1. Keep the stock turbo charger 2. Keep price
resonable, not a $3000+ budget here. Easier the better (not exactly a
mechanic, but do have friends that can help)
Question: What do i need? What would be a nice extra? How/were do i
get it? Whats it gonna cost me (ideas dont have to look up exact
numbers)

Thanks
Chris

You can get to 10 PSI relatively safely and very cheaply with a
Hallman boost controller. They cost $80 at Buschur racing.

You will also need a boost gauge to setup and monitor your increased
boost. Should be able to get that from your local auto parts
retailer. Instructions for installing the Hallman come with the
controller, but there are Legacy-specific instructions at:
