what was the final speed for the 92 legacys (non turbo)? I can get a rear diff for next to nothing. but I would like to know the final drives of the auto and 5MT, cause im not sure which the parts come from.

Mike my 92 turbo automatic is 3.90.

I have a feeling the non turbos were the same

Some 5MTs with LSD may have been 4.11

There is a metallic sticker on the back of the rear end that gives the ratio

It is often covered in muck so you can't tell it's there

As far as i know the N/A manuals were 3.9 and the auto's were 4.111.
The turbos' rear diff was actually 3.545 but had a diff stepper in the gearbox of 1.100 to create an overall of 3.9

Rod,

Depends on where you are.....down where you are, those are probably the correct gear ratios.

In the states, no normally aspirated mt got a 3.9 ratio. The 92-93 autos got a 3.9 ratio, but all the manuals got 4.111
