problem: air bag light illuminated

vehicle: 93 turbo wagon

attempts at repair: replaced "clock spring" under wheel, disconnected battery for an hour plus

questions:
1) does the Air Bag Computer (ABC) have a diagnostic mode or
2) is there a way to get the ABC to output error codes
3) is there a "reset" procedure for the ABC

any help greatly appreciated as long as it does not involve
black electrical tape or lamp removal
a "search " yielded very little info on air bags

I searched for Air bag problems, and came up with 2 hits. Both Skip's. I have the same problem. I have already replaced the module with an known working unit. Anyone have any idea where to start?

Cruise works. And I have changed all associated fuses. Mind boggling

Sure, if the airbag system isn't discharged before you work on it and if goes off in your face.... major injury. Conversely, if you crash your car head on and you don't have an airbag... potential major injury.

I replaced the clockspring also which fixed my horn, brights, and cruise but not the damn air bag light....I had to buy the assembly new is why it fixed so many issues. The dealer did say they can read the air bag code and let me knwo what's wrong. Just haven't gotten a round tuit
