Did the engine run after you repaired the cam sensor wiring?
No.
If the engine never ran after the repair I still feel there may be something else wrong or the repair didn't work.
lor wrote:As i know i have a spare sensor maybe this is the same plugged version. (sensor wire plug)
Yeah, see if that will work.
lor wrote:Without the sensor they will run?
I know the engine won't run without the crank sensor, but I thought I read something that the engine may run (poorly) without the cam sensor. It might be worth trying to unplug. The worst case is nothing changes.

And the signal is biggest problem, i think.
The Legacy Turbo also uses a falling signal. That is how my Link ECU is setup and how the other base maps are setup for Subaru's.

May be i can soldering back the old coil.
OK, I make a lot of test.
Yeah, keep us updated after your testing. Hopefully you find something.

Hello!

With original metal ignitor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytLcL3GLStM
rising signal

Without metal ignitor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlvGxdJYKXY
falling signal

I tested all injector and coil on the correct pin of the ecu.

Today i made one another test.
Original metal ignitor with old style coil on the plug -> spark

Original metal ignitor with new style coil on the plug -> no spark

Without metal ignitor with new style coil on the plug -> spark

But the engine wont start.

I will try with an another cam angle sensor and maybe i made a small oscilloscope with lamp.

Any another idea or suggestion?

Hi Lor,

Here are my thoughts on the videos you posted.

You are comparing apples to oranges. What you are showing in the videos is essentially the same thing, you're just taking a measurement at a different point. The ECU is still putting out a falling edge signal regardless of what igniter/coil setup is installed on the car. That is always going to be a falling edge signal. The igniter is what changes the signal to a rising edge signal. On the integrated igniter/coil pack coils this is done internally and not really something you can measure. The fact you have spark in the two scenarios below would seem to indicate to me the igniter/COP setup is not your problem.

Original metal igniter with old style coil on the plug -> spark

Without metal igniter with new style coil on the plug -> spark

I would agree going back and trying a different cam angle sensor would be a good next step. If you get the same results then I'd suggest going back to basics. You need fuel, spark, and air in the right proportions and the right time. If you have fuel and spark then you need to ensure the timing is right. Have you verified that the timing belt is properly lined up and not possibly jumped a tooth?

You can skip the igniter completely

Did you figure it out? A few people have gotten confused on the wiring of the coils. They are numbered in firing order, not in order of cylinders. If you wired them thinking it was the cylinder number, your timing will be completely wrong. Double check your wiring.

Pin 10 = Cyl 1
Pin 9 = Cyl 3
Pin 8 = Cyl 2
Pin 7 = Cyl 4
