97 impreza cruise control not working

97 impreza cruise control not working
Hi I have a 97 impreza rx cruise control isn't working. I have checked all fuses they are all good. When press cruise button on dash there isn't even a cruise light that comes on. Can anyone please help??

There is a vacuum hose that runs from the cruise control unit) in the engine bay) to the intake manifold, verify that is plugged in and intact.

Welcome to the BBS.
The cruise was an "add-on" type feature for some of the early imprezas. As Mike pointed out, check that the vacuum hose is good. Below is a link to the installation guide with wiring diagrams. I'll have to look on my Impreza to see if I have sort of light indicating cruise is working.
