MAF ?

Post by imtb »

Hello,

I am hoping I didint scrw this up. I thought I shoud try and clean this, I took out the 4 screws and and pulled this out. It has a O ring and was snug coming out. Not much to it but it looks like it may have been soldered? I put it back in and engine fired up and no codes, hope I didnt screw it up. If any one can let me know, I would like to put my mind at ease.

thanks
here is the pic of the 4 screws I took out and pulled the grey part out.

The black plastic JECS MAF sensor is one piece and shouldn't be taken apart like the aluminum body Hitachi MAF sensor. I'd suggest trying to find another used MAF sensor.

A used one is just fine and about $50, the plastic ones are easy to find since they used them from 90-99.
