Fwd fuse???

Post by paulieearnhardt »

So I'm new to Subaru. I just bought a 1999 Legacy Outback and I was poking around under the hood and I found this little Port that looks like a fuse goes in it. Tell me someone please what size should be in there and what it's for and if it's necessary please.

It's for use while being towed, not necessary or recommend for normal driving. You can put a 10+ amp fuse in there. You won't really notice a difference in fuel economy since the autos are 90% front wheel drive under normal circumstances. Handling will be compromised.
