While disassembling my 1998 Subaru Legacy Brighton (2.5l) to do the clutch, I found a ground wire hanging from the top-center of the firewall. The free end had a yellow band close to the connector. Since the tip of the stock crimp-on connector was missing, I installed one the was slightly smaller in diameter than the tip that was screwed to the firewall. I flipped the wire end to end, and attached the smaller end to the firewall. So, now I can't find anything within reach of the wire to fasten the wire. I'm sure it's the transmission that originally had this ground wire attached. Anyone know where this should be attached? This is holding me up from putting the breather box back on the throttle body.

Goes to transmission. Just pick the nearest bolt or nut you can find.
