Turbo Hardware?

Post by Mattheww044 »

I feel like this is a stupid question or thread to start, but I am putting my JDM TD05 on and I would really like to replace all of the hardware. Studs/bolts/nuts and gaskets. The gaskets aren't hard to find, but I can't find anyone that sells the nuts and bolts. Is there a kit you can buy? I would imagine ordering them from Subaru would be pretty spendy, but if anyone has the part #s that would be awesome.

I plan on getting the gaskets from FP, cuz this is a pretty good deal:

they do have the studs on there as well but no nuts or bolts... Just not sure where to find them.

Thanks ahead of time

Unless the threads on the studs and nuts are cross threaded or marred up, there's really no reason to replace them.

Well mine were very rusted and I rounded a few of them off trying to get at them at the weird angles. I didn't have any pb blaster so that didn't help. I gave them to te guy I sold my td04 too. So I need them now lol I just don't know where to find them

You can find replacement studs at the autoparts store in the section where the "HELP" hardware is. They are cad plated studs and are the correct length, etc. They're not the best application for the turbo since the cadnium plating will burn off, but they work.

I've got a package at home and can get the part # and snap a pic for you.

I doubt they'd be able to help w/the TD05 - never had 'em over here, so just tell 'em it's a TD04. Should be the same.

Also, those studs are a PITA to get out so be prepared!

Yea I was just gonna have them order them for the VF-11 or TD04, same thing should be the same part number but you never know lol.

yea I know that they can be, but my stepdad has a stud remover and that thing works like a charm. It's still not "easy" but definitely easier. If any of you guys have any spare hardware that isn't rusted to hell I would be willing to buy them. Mine is far far away now haha.

hmm. So I would probably need to get 2 sets correct? Since that comes with the studs/nuts, and 2 bolts but no nuts for the bolts? I might go ahead and do that if the stealership ends up wanting any more than 20 or 30$ for everything.

Yeah....it may not be the ideal setup, but it's cheap and works.
