Yes sir, if you get it first let me know what you think. I may order it sometime this coming week. I still think I may add a small 6in or so resonator to kill some of the top end rasp.

Yeah the resonator should help with that raspy sound and droning on the freeway.

Is it natural for it to not see as much boost creep in 4th or 5th as compared to 2nd or 3rd? Or is this a symptom of part throttle full boost? Ive noticed while on boost at three quarters throttle pressure or so, i'll be at 10 psi already.

You will see more boost creep in the higher gears, 4th & 5th. This is because the engine will be loaded more.

Check out this link with some additional explanation of boost creep.

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/boost-creep.html

I haven't found a really good explanation or the issues of part throttle full boost, but its essentially as it describes. It's not a desired setup. As long as you have your boost controller plumbed into the compressor side of the turbo, you should be ok.

So, I took apart the bov and when I tried compressing the spring, it wouldnt budge. I figured i'd take it all the way apart and clean everything. Put everything back together and pushed the valve down with ease. Mouted it to the tmic and adjusted the screw. Works like a dream, and the turbo seems to be running much better. Still experiencing the boost creep, however much less violently.

Got a video of the boost gauge to give everyone an idea of what's going on. The boost holds fine at about 10 psi full throttle until about 4-5K RPM and then it just drops off to 10in vacuum. The engine keeps going fine, it doesn't cut completely it just doesn't make any boost anymore until you let off the gas or shift.

Sure there isn't a leak in any of the tubing to/from the turbo and TMIC?

I had a hard to find leak which only occurred while on boost; engine ran fine otherwise (screen shots in the TMIC sticky). Others have had problems with the 90* silicone tube off the turbo collapsing.

I'll have to check the 90 out. I think it may be clamping down on its self in to the high rpm range. I'll have to order a silicone 90 and see if it improves. I'll take it to r and h in green lake to just see what they say.

Update with symptoms. Everything seems to be working fine. Especially when the boost is dialed down to around 5-7 psi. For some reason, when I turn the mbc up to 9psi or greater the turbo spool up nice and boost holds great until around 4-5k rpms depending on load until at that point it just drops off into vac on the gauge. I will say however that it isnt as noticeable and doesnt happen as often if I were to accelerate full throttle and when getting close to 4 or 5 k, reduce to half throttle. Ill be ordering a silicone 90 sometime next week. Thanks for reading and your input.

There is nothing electrical or ECU related that could cause that problem. I am going to have to agree and say that some part of your pre-turbo intake tract is collapsing under high vacuum such as is experienced under load.

I don't see any evidence of boost creep but when this is fixed it may creep a little at higher RPM and full throttle. I wouldn't expect you to have any problems with that though. Not many do with a setup like yours.

As far as the low gear vs. high gear boost with an MBC, I do run an MBC for the moment (a nice HallMan Pro RX) and I have to set for 16psi in second and third in order to not go over my 18psi limit in fourth and fifth. On your car, I would set for 10 psi in second or third so that you have a margin of error for fourth and fifth that won't go over 12psi or so at high load.

With the stock MAF and injectors I wouldn't turn that thing up any over 12psi with a TD04. You'll be really close to maxing those two items out if not already maxed at that boost level on that turbo.

Siliconeintakes.com has good stuff. I don't know about the diameter though. You need a really tight radius bend preferably.

Just installed the silicone 90 and everything is resolved. Before it didn't matter what psi I was at, it would just cut at 4500k. Put the 90 on with a few mods to make it fit better and boom! Problem resolved. Holding 10psi all the way to 6k, and I'm sure to red line. I just baby it to much to take it to 6500k

Yup! I will say, car does seem a bit quicker then the test ride in your whip. Alothough it has been a while since the ride. You have any extra 5spd shift knobs?

No on the shift knobs, sadly. I got both of mine of nasioc used. If you drove my car with the old ej25de intake manifold, it's significantly faster now with the ej20g manifold which isn't all jerry rigged, lol. If you drove the current setup, then I still haven't put the MBC on - just running 10psi max.
