guy parting out a wrx

there is a guy parting out an 04 wrx in my town.
would the turbo and intercooler fit without me spending any major cash? also, while its there what els should i get off of it? Steering wheel? seats? shift linkage? will it all fit okay?

The 04 doesnt fit unless you physically bash in your fire wall above the throttle body. you want a 06 wrx intercooler or i think an 08 forester xt intercooler. when you do the swap, youll have to re route the coolant tank. The oem black ones are shitty anyways. The breakdown and turn into a cardboard like substance.

turbo td04, metal coolant tank, interior seats, swaybars with end-links/mounts. any mods?

The shifter linkage and joint will swap also.

That's what I figured about the intercooler, it's got upgraded front and rear sway bars, and I'm going to pick up the shift linkage. I want to do a cobb short shifter. Will that work?

Yes the cobb short shifter for the 03 wrx should work with that linkage. You need to grab the shifter joint that goes on the shifter fork as well, since it will be different then your stock one.
