I finally did it...

Post by 91White-T »

Well, after a few dissapointing losses last weekend, I finally rigged up my 4$ FCD, and cranked up the boost to ~15psi. So far, no problems whatsoever, A/F shows green, no knocking, and the car pulls a lot harder.... :D
We'll see how it does this weekend....

What IC are you running and how easily did it adapt to you engine (I assume it`s a top mount :!) Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. I`ll look forward to your response---Rod (the NA killer )

You were having problems beating cars with a full exhaust and 13 psi of boost? What kind of cars are you racing? 8)

Its the Saab 900 IC, it fits right in on my auto, but I think the clutch MC might be in the way on a manual. The turbo/ic piping is a combination of exhaust parts and trimmed radiator hoses, and i had to trim about a 1/4" off the IC/TB side. Overall it was a pretty easy fit.

It's actually a long story where I got my tranny rebuilt and they completely messed up my AWD, so its just FWD right now :(
And it's not full exhaust, just no 2nd cat or muffler...

Yeah, It's cool at first, but gets a little irritating when you can't accelerate from a stop without roastin' em...
