LegacyCentral logo

Post by magicmike »

We should come up with a cool decal of some sort that we could have made and distribute to all the members. I do feel like I'm part of a club in some ways being on this forum. It would be cool to have a small 2X4 inch decal or something. Any graphic artists out there in the bunch????

your thoughts...

Ooh, maybe one that would fit where my "SUBARU" decal fell off on my trunk! =)

This should be a clear background sticker with reversed adhesive so we can put it inside on a glass surface. Im thinking 2x4 or so

I'm no good at coming up with aesthetically pleasing things... The only logo designs I can think of would involve some kind of image of a Legacy, but that would be silly to actually put on a car. What other kind of image could we use as a symbol? Maybe something symbolizing the boxer four, although that's not special to BC/BFs...

But if we do want it to be a replacement for the trunk badge, we need to remember that 90-91 models and 92-94 models have different badge sizes.

On a mildly related note, I found today something I thought I'd lost many years ago... Back when I had my last Legacy Turbo I made a cool background image for my desktop out of it that could tile seamlessly ( http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~v/sstile.jpg ). I used "transparent" windows with it, and it looked pretty cool.

Ooh, I like Ciper's idea too (he posted while I was writing). How about something really discreet and simple, like just the words "Legacy Central BBS" and maybe "bbs.legacycentral.org" in a smaller typeface underneath? If it were white on a clear static-cling vinyl, we could put it in a side window or at the bottom of the rear window. That would be cool.

we can do better than that  Although I do agree that small and discreet is the way to go, not like those ricer APC humongous decals. I was thinking the original oval with the stars with something a little different perhaps. Maybe the word legacy being in the center of something with lines going to it. Like its legacy central. The word legacy would denote our cars because all the new subaru craze is with the wrx.

Heh, I didn't create that... I think someone was once selling them on eBay and I just saved the image from the listing.

The only problem with the static cling is that you can't really use 'em on tinted windows. If we end up getting something, can we make sure there's some traditional die-cut vinyl? I'd like to see some type of lettering rather than the logo. I'm not a fan of extra brand logos. I'd rather it represent the BBS :)

I got a buddy down here that does vinyl as his business, so I can see what sort of price he can give us if we decide to do this.

The font looks too much like Halloween

Change the second line to read something like "Flat Four AWD"

Nice idea!

I've seen some users on the Iclub changing their badge for a "Legacy"badge.. it was like 2 L one upside down... we could reuse that desing.. i'll try something this week-end or next week.

1 - I was saying "nice idea" to the forum sticker.

2 - For the badge thing, look at the badge of this legacy... it's the "JDM" legacy badge ...
