I moved these to here. Customized the factory mount to make it work.

And replaced the iginition switch bolt thingys (on the left) wiht real bolts (on the right).
Image
Edit, I also modded the little pocket thing to fit in where the rear defrost and cruise control switches normally go, no picture of this.

Replaced a couple of vacuum hoses and narrowed my boost problem down to either boost controller or wastegate. Will look more into it later (when the turbo has cooled down).

Also disassembled the dashboard to get behind the instrument cluster and see if something had been undone as my speedometer hasn't worked for a couple of months. Unfortunately everything looked fine back there, so put it all back together. Wasn't as hard as I had feared though, so at least I learned a thing or two about the interior today 8)

Mocked the custom grille for the first time.
Image
Changed the drivers side fender and painted it even though its damaged.

And, moved the air horns to the right fender well, washed the air filter, and broke the stupid left marker light trying to put it on... damn those lights, you try to take it off the way the manual says and you break it.

Boost problem was caused by dirt in the dawes device, so after a good cleaning it was back to a healthy 22 psi :smt023
Left an Audi A6 3.0 TDI standing while playing, he almost came to a complete stop when passing me as I pulled over to turn around. I kindly returned the "Yes sir, your damn expensive diesel audi just got beaten by an old ass jap car in mid range acceleration"-look

Up-dated the cruise and rear defrost swich with a set from a '97 outback, and put the driving light switch in. Re-did the lower switch panel thing, put in a non power mirror filler plug, and drove it after driving a '99 LGT for the past few days.

Tire psi.

Silicone lubricant for the sun roof.

Sanding sanding sanding.

Trying to paint a badge. Any one have any idea how to remove chrome from the badges? With our badges (at least the 92-94) i don't seem to have too much trouble getting the chrome off. but i'm working with a forester badge now and the chrome doesn't seem to come off that well.

Got real foglights from the junkyard for five bucks and they work, and while there also melted a gas guage needle so I could get tha gauge piece and lastly got a set of brackets that hold the engine cover down that have the rubber things in them. Oh and I took a drive on a dirt logging road with all the lights on :).

Updated the wiring coming from the fogs, mounted them, and re-furbished the solid covers from flat black with the word blazer in white to mica black with Subaru spelled out on them like S U B A R U the letters came off an Impreza trunk.

Danny-G--Being that you are over there on the peninsula, you may know about A and G Import Auto in Port Hadlock-Irondale. Between Port Townsend and Chimicum. They have a lot of Subaru used parts and even a couple of Sport Sedans in their yard. 360-385-0002.
