I've got a viper keyless entry and the door actuator for my 93, but I've been scared to mess with the wiring. Was it really that easy?

Is there a difference between the ss rack and the one in the n/a's? I already have an extra one out of an L model that I need to do the seals on.

I bought a very bare bones kit off ebay for $25. 4 actuators the relay box and two remotes (included all the wiring). It was just a matter of running power to the battery and finding a good ground and hooking up the two wires to the actuator. Not sure if your kit will be more involved.

I used this thread for the picture reference on the actuator mounting:
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=42955

I cheated and ran the wires through the engine bay and through the fire wall though. Just wrapped the wires in electrical tape so they'd blend.

I had to trim some of the particle board off of the back of the door card but it wasn't a huge deal.

Too bad your SS is getting some attention..... I know it's in your Will (you've setup a Trust fund for it, right), but hopefully you enjoy driving it as much as working on it!

Drove her last weekend-the rot on the rear quarter is getting worse-sits under a car cover that dries well-when it's not raining-I hope to get her to the tranny shop next summer-for her 25th birthday

Just turned over 170k miles and changed the oil. Sent an oil sample out to Blackstone for analysis. Totally original motor and still doesnt burn a drop. Also put in a new battery.

Haha....more like not paying attention.

It's fun to drive...but not as much fun to drive in traffic.

Well its not really what I did to my Subaru today but.. For the first time ever I spotted a GT Wagon. I was jaw dropped when I saw the ground effects, I chased the guy down like a crazy person and got him to pull over. I think I scared him, he was like WTF lol. Some older guy maybe 70, original owner, very clean. I straight up told him "ile give $200 cash right now if I can take your sideskirts!" He chuckled and said "Well thats not the first time ive been asked that." "Sorry they are not for sale!"

Dammit.. and my hunt continues. Damn rare sideskirts.

Headlight bulbs. I guess you have to change them fairly often when you drive around with your lights always on.

I cut out my mid pipe resonator and and put a pipe in, somehow the fiberglass inside was "coming out" and made it so I had a hairy tip (pun intended). I don't know how to post pics, ppl have told me but I'm not smart enough to figure it out

Thanks to a heads up from Mike, i finally found a 227 colored legacy in a pick and pull. Fender was damaged, so no go on that, but i was able to pull a driver's side door mirror after years of looking.

Little bit of snow in CO today. Was hooning through 2ft of snow and started feeling some power loss blips, popped the hood to find the area around the intake packed with snow. Had to remove the maf and filter to clean and dry.

I fabricated a custom intake snow shield. Pretty sweet.

Also had a headlight bulb go out today. I was using a sylvania ultra silver Star. Really a pretty nice bulb, very good night vison, and I got two years out of it and keep my lights on all the time.
At the store I saw they had a new to me model called zXe, decided to try them out.
So far, I wouldnt say they are better or worse. They just seem more blue in color. Also cost $5 more than the ultra.

Good eye. Yes, no AC. Y u ask? Because more HP.. no j/k .. the condenser had a leak and when I did the FMIC I ended up taking it all out. I rarely find myself needing/wanting it. Plus I recently acquired a non AC HVAC control to put in.
