Just thought It would be cool to hear what people are doing to their subies "today"

Kind of share whats going on.

Today I replaced the fuse for the main fan in my 93 wagon.

And right now Im waiting for the coolant to drain in my 92 SS so I can pull the radiator and see how bad the deer smashed it and fix the fan shrouds.

Also replaced the Coolant Temp. Sensor in my 91 SS. It starts Everytime Now!!! :-D

I ordered gaskets for my throttle body spacer that I'm making to allow me to mount my EJ22T throttle body onto my 97 forester JDM intake upside down.

I also ordered the bolt and sleeve that bolts the shifter to the shift linkage.

Tonight when I go to my parents house I'll probably work on cutting the spacer out and filing it down smooth.

Maybe I'll heatwrap my exhaust manifold too!

I redid a couple of the underhood grounds that were all corrodded. Also sounds like I might have to thin the oil mix I made up out as I had some lifter noise today on startup when it was fairly cool outside.. Guess I need 3 quarts of 5w20 to 2 quarts of 15w50 :)

I found a local guy parting out a 91 that happens to be the correct color code. Goodbye, rusty fenders and dented trunk lid!

changed my knock sensor and wires which no difference except maybe the wires making it a bit smoother, and later swapped back to the stock coil pack and noticed the car seemed a bit quicker!

Cleaned my IACV, replaced the air filter (pureone since it was just 3 bucks more than the regular $9 purolater filter) and found out my PVC is completely clogged (It wouldn't clean up, so i'm going to get a new one tomorrow after golfing).

Oh and of course after the work I had to take it for a "Test Drive".

I installed the simple, non-"torque box", intake on the BK4 last night. Lots more sound (more like the Cobb), and the intake hum is far quieter. I like.

Rust converter dried, I zinc coated the insides of the front and rear frame rails, front inner body, and misc. spots on the tailgate that the window trim had been partially hiding.

tested a paint color on the body and found the color is too white for the car - pearl white duplicolor is NOT the same as 91 SS pearl white
- repaired a nasty fuel line , verified the radiator fans turn on properly
- picked up a fog light switch from the boneyard and front sidemarker lights

tore down the old motor to just a shortblock (bad bearrings), cleand the heads and such then went to the junkyard and took a shortblock out of a 91 wagon with 170k miles...with no plyers, cutters, 22mm, engine hoist, or alot of other things a guy who works on cars for a living should have rememberd to take to the junk yard lol. We got the head bolts out using a 6" 3/8th drive ratchet and using the coolant crossover pipe as a cheeter pipe! It was quite an interesting day lol. :smt042

Diagnosed a bad injector and now I have to park the car while I try to find a set of JDM sidefeed 440cc injectors. I'm thinking about just using stock EJ22T injectors. I'm only running 11psi of boost out of a VF8, but I don't know if the stock injectors can handle that.

I thought the stock fuel system was good for 16 psi? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
