Underneath the carpet under the driver's seat is a bracket with a relay and a plug going to a sensor. The sensor is screwed to the underside of said bracket. It was the plug wires going to that sensor that had degraded to the point where one fell out when i tugged on it. I just spliced in a good junkyard plug and wire.

When your sunroof is not working, do the windows still work? If they do, then i suspect its the computer module towards the back of the sunroof assembly. CJ and others have had good luck with reflowing all the solder on that board.

Regarding the left hand drive EDM lights, trust me, they're worth it. I bought my SS as a rolling shell for $400, so from a dollars and cents arguement it doesn't make sense. But i could outdrive my lights at night, and with modern headlights on oncoming cars i had a hard time seeing my lane markers. No longer.

Yeah Windows always work fine, just sunroof doesn't. Funny thing is that sunroof works all the time on hot sunny days, cold cloudy days, never works. I guess could be a solder thing?

Swapped broken windshield wiper switch from parts wagon to ss... Didnt realize the rear wiper functionality. Oh well. Also had an issue with position 4 on the fan blower switch. Thought if i swapped it I could fix it. Nope. Must be wiring some where. Also charged the ac and swapped seat belt controls because the belts in the ss are all wonky. Still not fixed but better. I think the connections are corroded and could use a cleaning and some grease.

Thanks Mike, I also cleared the headlights and corner lights, in an attempt to stop the yellowing without spending a lot on glass headlights. I'll see how it goes....

I've taken my summer wheels off and put my winters on 5 times in the last two months, becoming NASCAR status at swapping wheels. 10 lugs per wheel w/ spacers, double time ;-).
Good thing I decided to swap out on Friday, got a little more snow than the street tires can handle:

Normally my impreza would be the dedicated winter car, but it needs a new diff & registration/tags. Aside from ground clearance the legacy is almost as capable as the impreza in snow, the legacy ate 3ft of snow for breakfast like it was nothing.

Damn Dank, thats some serious snow! I don't think it snowed once in the lowlands this season. Luckily that's what Stevens and Snoqualmie pass is for.

So much snow!! We never seen hardly any snow this year. Didn't even get the snowblower out because we never received more than 6 inches. My grass is already greening up and the leaves are starting to pop out and the lakes have no ice. I pretty much destroyed my studs this year.

Phil, nice job on the tint. I personally don't like the idea of tinting my tail lights, bit it definitely looks sharp. Did you split the rear garish to get inside and paint?

Put the sti badge on and my clutch went to shit.

CJ has a fast car.
CJ drives fast car daily.
CJ finds sti badge and Braggs about it.

Clutch goes out on CJ.
CJ regrets sti badge.

Don't be like CJ.

I installed heated seats into the Legacy:

Total time was a little over 3 hours.

I also installed a backup camera on my WRX today:
Image

I did it mostly because I got the camera for free, and it gave me something to do on a rainy Sunday.

I installed one in the Legacy back in November as well:

Still needed some adjustment here, as it's pointing way to high. Been fixed since:

Our '15 Lexus came with a backup camera, and it's surprising how much you miss it when you get into one of the other cars.

Pretty damn cool Phil! If only it fit my edm garnish.

I had swapped to an 03 WRX trans a week or two ago and hadn't quite put it together yet. Got driveshaft, exhaust, slave cylinder installed, and fixed the knock sensor which broke when I pulled the old tranny. Filled the tranns with some good 'ol extra s.

All thats left is to replace a coolant line going to stock overflow box, install turbo blanket, and tmic.

Got everything back together and trans made a terrible noise in 1st. Well, less than 50 miles later, 1st gear gave up the ghost!
