That's pretty neat. I'm guesing with the fan it burns much quicker so you might be feeding it quite often.

Interesting idea. I wouldnt mind the USB port in the wild, but the requirement for twigs/wood isn't going to work out in a lot of situations (side of a snowy mountain, soggy forest, etc). Nor would I want to have scrounge around for wood in the dark after setting up camp and its constant feeding.

I'll be sticking with my JetBoil for the foreseeable future.

It's a cool little stove and I've never seen a device like this that turns heat into electricity which is the coolest part about it but the size of it being so small and needing kindling or twigs is a bit of a turn off but I still want one.

I think the point of this product is that you gather during your hike so that you don't need to carry extra lbs the whole trip. You also don't have to cart out used fuel, whatever that maybe. As far as the damp or wet issue goes, I believe it works using a "Gasification" technology so that water is a non-issue. The Jetboil is great though, love the one I have.

I reserved one so I'll be sure to let you guys know what this thing is all about this summer. Camping in Colorado is the shizzzz! :smt025

Haha, yeah, uncrate is pretty interesting. They found the stove the same day as you did, so I assumed that you had gotten it from there.
