Vehicle Shipping Questions

Post by smh0101 »

Hey guys, hope everyone on here is doing well... I've been kinda MIA for the last year or so.

Anyways, its really driving me insane that I dont have my Legacy out here in Shittsburg, PA and I'm looking to have it shipped.

Anyone have any experience shipping cars? Just wondering what I should look out for, how much I should pay etc.

Any guidance appreciated.

You are looking at between 850-1k to get it to you by normal auto carrier.
If you can take the time off, It's a three 1/2 day drive ( i bought my SS in Pitts and drove to Seattle)

I would just shop around.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

Those numbers are about right for shipping the car out there. I shipped my 06 Legacy from SEA to Houston and I think it was like $700 and change. I thought I used a website that you put in the to and from and it sends out bids. I think it was through an autotrader banner ad. I ended up using American Transport, http://www.americantransport.com They were ok. The issue I had was the car was originally in Eastern Washington and there weren't any transports going that way, so my step dad ended up driving it back over to Seattle and that made it much easier to find a truck. Going from SEA to PIT shouldn't be an issue to find a truck.
