General Chit-Chat thread?

Post by thewaterboy »

I really enjoy the GCC thread over on Audizine, and figured it might work out here as well!
It's a good place to chat, ask questions (instead of start new threads each time), organize meets, pass time, ect.

If anybody is interested in a thread like this, feel free to add whatever you may like!

General Chit-Chat thread?

Post by thewaterboy »

2 tow trucks in a week! A new record for me! Image

I was running with the MAF unplugged all day yesterday, so maybe it fouled all the plugs from running too rich? I guess time will tell.

My boss is going to be pissed either way.

Anybody on here weld for a living? I got some questions!

It happens! Its a $600 300k mi car, can't expect too much! Its most likely just the ECU as well, so it should be simple

It impressed me when I saw that dolley setup for the first time. I had to call for a tow when I bent my control arm on a curb, told them it was AWD... the truck that came out wasn't a flatbed, and I started to argue with them that they can't use that thing on my AWD car. Lo and behold, they can put wheels under your wheels, lol.

But lots of newer cars are too low to safely be towed with wheels in the air anymore nowadays, so flatbeds are becoming more and more common.

It is strange to see a car on dolly wheels these days-though-a prius was towed to my place of work on them-puts a lot of strain on the wheels.

Just looked at the car, its an SS with a TD04, front mount, welded WRX rear end, welded center diff, WRX coils, and leather front seats. Its pretty nice. Needs a tune/injectors/other things. Has pretty bad fuel cut.

I couldn't take the time tofigure out why. It was my daily at the time and only had that little bit of time to attempt it. Kimo bought those coils from me with the wiring I had, he ended up messing with it and found that some of the ground connectors I had made weren't crimped good enough. Maybe that was the reason, maybe it wasnt.

R34 GTs-T is my dream car. GTR's are the unicorns but, dare I say it, I'd prefer RWD. Unbelievable cars in any form though.

Hmm interesting. Checked my grounds they are good. Mike is sending me a ECU to try. If they all fire than it is the ECU.
