Yep. Bellhousing adapter. Its a totally 1-off deal. The Drift Union Legacy guy said he knows a little bit of the history on the car. It badly needs a tune/injectors. That fuel cut sucks.

General Chit-Chat thread?

Post by thewaterboy »

Ill ask him. I know he wants to get it taken car of.

Side note, I really admire your car, and showed one of my friends a picture of it. He said he knows you (maybe of you?) he's got a blue RWD GL up here in Olympia. He has been going to the WCSS for the last 8 years or so, so he's familiar with many cars/owners.

General Chit-Chat thread?

Post by robertpaige »

Thanks man! I have been toying with a RWD conversion but I honestly dump so much money into it, I don't even wanna go RWD because that means more problems. This motor could not handle being drifted until I do a rebuild. And a RWD GL doesn't sound familiar.. But maybe he has seen my car before? I haven't been to WCSS yet, always working. But yeah people either love it or hate it. Haha I have a lot of fun with it. Your wagon is cool man those 18"s look cool, I usually hate 18"s on these cars. I think your car has potential for sure!!

Just took this about an hour ago

writing on here incase anyone has some insight. I have spent over 7 hours reading across the far reaches of the internet and through many old threads in many a forum. Everytime I seem to be close to a resolution no more post are writen and the thread is lefting hanging as if the problem has driven the OP insane or worse deceased.

Car runs on cylinders 2&4. Most threads are of no spark at all or only one cylinder having an issue. I have installed a EJ20 ECU and gone COP. What is weird is the 2 signals that are added to the ECU work but the 2 already present are not sparking.

I have done the following:
tested for power, ground and signal at the COP plug--good
tested for signal at the ECU--good
tested for spark by holding spark plug to ground--no go on bad side/good on good side
swap COP from good side to bad side--no change
swapped in a known good robtune ECU--no change
checked length of offending signal wires for breaks--good
listened to fuel injectors with screw driver--good

I am at a loss. If someone can find the answer I will paypal you 10 bucks.

It was beyond fun.

Chassis felt rigid and strong when pitched sideways, had more than enough power(aside from the fuel cut), and there was a lot of control in the slide.

I found the PO's thread on here, gonna have to try to find it again

Guys,

I'm ok with a general chit chat thread, however if you have technical Subaru questions or discussions please post them in the appropriate forums. I don't want to see a massive thread with a hodge podge of misc. ramblings and good technical information. It will just make finding anything useful in the future a pain.

Thanks
Josh

Yeah it's seen a few owners.

Makes tracing down the issues from pervious owners quite a task.

Damn...

But no.

I've told him about it, and I'm sure he'll make an account.
