I have not updated my website in quite some time. The other week I discovered the feedback form spam verification check was broken. So I set off to fix it. What I found was that my lack of updating things included the back end server configuration as well and adding CAPTCHA spam verification was not going to work with what I had. So I had to find something that worked, read up on it, configure things, and test it. That was most of my night last night and good portion of my day today. However, it was succesful! Woohoo!
