Alrighty! Time for voting on the legacy central sticker idea. this will be die-cut lettering, in white i'd imagine, but most likely we can get silver or black or whatever...

I like the font in 'two' best but am not sure how readable it would be on a sticker. Anyone think it's easy to read?

any chance there could be an option for proper lettering case. Like capitalized on the B, L, & C

The second one may be a little hard to read, but I think with all the duplicate and similar letters in the name there's not much that can be done. I think the other two will be easier to read as the letters have more contrast due to the font.

The second one is too hard to read. I like 1 and 2. Overall I think #1 is the simplest. I almost NEVER put stickers on my car, #1 is small enough not to notice.

What size exactly will this be when printed? That should also be a choice.

I'm partial to #1

I'd just like a small sticker for when I get the turbo in that says '240,000+ miles' so people will know what just blew by them.

Or maybe my treacherous un-American response to the Patriot Act: Those who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor safety - Benjamin Franklin

I went with #1. I think it looks pretty sharp.

I guess I'll vote for #1 as well, but you all realize that style of lettering is EXACTLY what Dodge used in the 80's ;)

Look in the red "Dodge" symbol in this ad and you'll see what I mean...

Your right!

I think these stickers should be used as gifts for donating to the BBS.

Setup a paypal account and if anyone donates 7$ or more they get a sticker. 11$ gets you two

I still havn't seen a size posted so Ill post what I would like. The tallest letter should be 1/2" tall.

We are talking out side the window for these right laurel? Where are you going to order these from?

there are a few people that i could talk to, though i believe someone emailed a guy that does vinyl cutting...

I'd imagine they'd be no bigger than an inch tall, and however long that is. The font is the dodge font. Name of it is hemihead 426, but it looks good. I'm going to give the poll one more week. Also, how many stickers are we talking about here?

If you are talkin about rallydecals.com, this is the e-mail i got from keith:
Hello Hardy,

Q: When you do multiples of the same sticker, like the NESIC ones, do you
ship them out individually to the people that ordered them? Or do you make
the requested amount, and ship them all to the person that organized it?

A: Depends on the decal. Most of the things you see on the site are die-cut,
single color vinyl. I can do a large quantity and send them to you, or I can
do them individually and mail them out on your behalf.

The screen printed decals (like the NESIC ones) would require a set-up
charge and a minimum order of 125 decals. I would get them all done and
shipped to you. Or, I could also mail them out on your behalf... but they
would have to be printed up in advance.

------------

Q: How do you request that one sends you an example of the sticker? Do you
have a file format prefernce or would you just like a picture of it or
something?

A: If you have it in illustrator, photoshop or Adobe acrobat, that would be
fine. Actual size to be printed preferred. I take many different formats.

------------

Q: If we needed some to be inside and others to be outside would there be
any cost difference?

A: The inside decals and outside decals, if vinyl cut, would be no
difference. If it was screen printed (again like the Nasioc Decals) Iit
would be a minimum 125 for inside and another 125 for outside (They would be
treated as 2 separate orders)

------------

Q: If some of the group wanted different colored stickers would there be any
price change?

A: Die Cut vinyl? No. Screen Printed - again... the whole minimum order
thingie.

------------

Q: What kind of time frame are we looking at from payment to package
recieved?

A: I usually ship within 7 business days for vinyl and it takes a couple
weeks for the screen printed materials to be done and cut.

------------

Q: Who do you use to ship the stickers, and what service(ups ground, fedex
express, etc)?

A: Most of my decals that I do are shipped just US Postal. If you were to
order in quantity, it would be something like UPS or US Postal Priority. If
you wanted them faster, I could send them Fed-Ex or UPS 2-day or Next day.
It's all up to you how fast you want them after they're complete. :)

------------

Hope this helps!

What about the font that subaru puts the word legacy in?

I searched for 3 days trying to find that font, or the font we do license plates it. Nada. If anyone can find that, it would rock my socks, but I've given up.

geh, IMHO. I checked it out when I did my ummm... "secret" (i've said too much) so I chose my own font.

I like #1. tallest letter should be no taller than 5/8" - I am anti-sticker but would be willing to put this modestly in the rear window or something.

They might look good in the rear side windows, too. Oh, for us wagon folk, anyway.

Perhaps 2 sticker sizes then? One 1/2" tall, and another 1" tall, to give us a bit of selection. I'll swing by a sign shop sometime this week, and email a few people. :)

My vote goes to #1, it is the simplest, and most easy to read.

you'll be proud of me. I'm going to a sign shop today, and talking with them about prices. I've already gotten it resized, just need to print the image, and see what the quote is. Do 15-20 1" and 15-20 1/2" tall ones sound good?
