HPDE: Subaru-EVO Road Course Track Day, Limerock Park Nov 8

Post by Paisan »

Ok folks with all the Evo-Subaru talk from last weekends Drag Racing Event, I figured I'd keep the ball rolling and put together a Road Course Event!

I spoke with NASA-NE and they have agreed to give us our own rungroup at Limerock Park in Nov! (or any NASA Event).

Here is the deal...

We need 30 Subies and EVOs register (total) to get our own rungroup. You'd still have instructors same as you would have in a regular rungroup, but ontrack would be only Subies and EVOs. Limerock Park is in the NW Corner of CT. Awsome track! You can learn a lot at an HPDE Event. It wouldn't be a "competition" like the Drage Event, but it would definitely have some friendly banter between the Subies and Evos and some good comradere. Afterward we can all meet up at the traditional pizza joint and trade stories of the day. If you want pics of track days you can check out the Team IAC webpage and forum.

Could I run my N/A there? I'd love to go if my money situation improzes. I missed the Vintage races this year.

Sweeeet. I had a dream of driving that racetrack in an old Mini.

Saw the Rennsport Reunion there in 2001 and that was sick! I'm not even a huge Porsche fan, but I loved it.

Last year I saw a Toyota 2000 GT and Chaparral I (among tons of other stuff) at the vintage races.

Yup once you do a track event you get hooked. I did my first event 2 years ago in Nov. I just finished getting my Competition Liscence and did 2 races. :) It's amazing!

Ooooh, that'd be a lot of fun. My stock, old ass suspension, paired with all my go fast mods, will probably get my butt in a lot of trouble.

Shit, yeah, you guys have to go if I can make it! It's more my neck of the woods as it's about 3 hrs from me. With any luck I'll have new wheels and tires I can burn off with the power of 8:1 N/A.

Cool Cool, It would be great to see some more legovers on the track. If you look at the pics on the Team IAC page from this summer you'll see my legacy on the track as my race car was down for those months.
