We could certainly do that. . . east Portland would probably be best. . . so we don't have to drive through town as a group. ;)

The Sears parking lot at the Clackamas Town Center would be a good place to meet up. It's just off of I-205, the Hwy 224 East exit is pretty close and it's a big enough landmark for, the out of town pleople to find it.

I am coming from the other direction, and I probably won't be able to leave until after work, so it may be 8 or 9 before Nick and crew show up

Sounds like a good plan, keeps us all out of downtown in the Friday afternoon traffic. ;)

Nick, I'm sure we'll not have really eaten yet by the time you guys show up. I'll make sure the grill's ready to go once you guys get there, though. :P

If you want to miss the afternoon traffic you'll want to meet there before 3 in the afternoon. I-205 is just as much of a parking lot as I-5 is in the afternoon. :(

I will try and get off work early that day so I can meet you guys at the mall. I haven't looked at the directions that the park service gives out but i do know 2 ways to get there. I would recommend going in through the town of Estacada, that way everyone will know how to get back to town if they need food and stuff.

I'm for sure coming. Got that day off. Maybe the seattle folk could mob down to PIA and meetup with Jake, Trevor, myself and a few others? I'm hoping to get a good wash/detail in that day, as well, if anyone wants a good ol griots scrub. :)

So, maybe we need to start a drinks list? What kinda specialty stuff should we bring to make an ultimate subaru sloshbucket? Maybe some kinda spode?
Who's got a HUGE cooler with a tap?

Well, as we won't have a liquor license for the group site, we should probably keep the drinking part as low-key as possible. I'd say let's keep it simple. Things that are easily mixed usually are the best when camping, and then there's beer. . . just won't be doing a keg.

i dont think that we would need a liqour license for a giant cooler of jungle juice. its not like were gonna have a hundred people out there
. lets not hold back on the drinkn it only happens once a year. and i do have a huge white 55 gallon cooler. with a drain tap on the bottom. should i bring it?

. . . or distributing, which is technically selling without collecting money. ;)

I just don't want anyone getting in trouble because things are too "obvious" at the campsite. If you guys want to build a spodie, I'm all for it. . . just keep it on the DL and out of sight during the day. :P
