Not yet sure exactly which way we'll be leaving teh DenvAR area yet. . . . depends on where we're meeting up with everyone and staying that night. If it's going to be Ft. Collins, then I'm pretty sure we'll be taking I-80 through Wyoming, then through the Salt Lake City area to hook up with I-84 for the final leg home through Idaho, Oregon, then I-82 through eastern WA to I-90.

If we're meeting closer to Denver, then we might take I-70 into mid-Utah, then head up I-15 through Salt Lake. . . where are you anyway, Dave?

Oh, so you're flying out to pick something up?

I'm close to the I-15/I-84 area in Ogden. Either way, you'll pass pretty close to where I am if you're using I-84 through Utah.

If it was saturday night I'd be all for it, but I am going to a luau in fort collins on friday night, and sleeping it off on the plane saturday AM.
I would recomend go through I 90 the whole way, you can go faster and up in the mountains of MT by kalispell is beautiful this time of year. maybe stop in idaho at sandpoint and go swimming, its the deepest lake on the continent about 3000' deep.
or if you wanted to do the I80 thing, keep the speed down in the east all the way until the mountains at the west, there into utah you can haul some balls and nobody cares.
but east WY you have to go the speed limit. they hate out of staters. found that out at 4 in the morning by going 85 in a 75 when there was NOBODY on the road but me and some redneck towing a gooseneck trailer with his cummins at about 100mph.
bring your radar detector, I'm about to get a V1 myself.

I dont know about Sandpoint. The lake is so freaking cold right now. I would take I-90 though, stop in Coeur d' Alene and help me work on my car. lol. The drive on 90 is way better though, lots more scenery.

Thanks again for the means to get home, some much-needed shower time, and the great times with you and your roommates, Judd. Nick and Jake and I really enjoyed ourselves, and we're actually talking about a roadtrip back to Ft Collins next spring or early summer to hang with you guys for a few days.

Interesting. . . for being landlocked, Nick and I were suggesting on the way home that CO's one of the few states other than the PNW we'd actually consider moving to at some point.

Oh, and that pizza (and beer) was amazing! Good call on the brewery for dinner! ;)
