Vet's Day 11/11/11 Fri. cruise/feed

Post by kleinkid »

Posted this on NASIOC also. Free entree for active duty, and vets. Active duty should buy the vets a beer!

For Whidbey Island and surrounding area, we are planning a cruise and then a visit to Applebee's in Oak Harbor. Would like to get to Applebee's at 4pm. Start time and place will be posted later.

We will be meeting at the Albertson's parking lot in Oak Harbor at 9am, leave promptly at 9:30 on Veterans Day. Stop for gas at Swinomish Indian gas, proceed to exit 208 on I-5 and head to Darrington. If anyone in the Bellingham, Mt. Vernon, etc., area wants to hook up with us that would be great. We are heading for the Mountain Loop Highway. Here is a link to a map.

Returning to the Oak Harbor Applebee's by 4pm.

Why is all the subie action on the coast? Damnit Spokane! Between me, my brother, my buddy, and Dscooby, I would say we have a good 70% of the turbo Legacies in town. The other ones are old ladies or people that just don't know, don't care...

Brandon took his '01 and I brought my '91, and we went up into the Cascade foothills, drove the Mountain Loop Highway, stopped at Maxwell Power Services to visit the veterans there, then went back to Oak Harbor for dinner at Applebee's. Beautiful fall day.

Re:PNW Vet's Day Friday 11 /11/11. Applebee's

Veterans day for 2011 is this Friday. Third Annual Veterans Day Cruise and eat again? Active duty and vets get free entree at Applebee's, and a few others.

We could go to the Olympic Peninsula and up to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. There is a Applebee's in Sequim.
