Woot! Taking care of the dragons and then heading out to WCSS 15!! I may be bringing a dragon or two to hang out, as well. They love Subaru rides.

See you guys there!

Anyone here have an alternator bolt for the positive output bolt? Tried to remove my dying alt and the nut apparently is welded to the bolt.

Heh, nice! That was fun... mud pit was awesome, I went 5 times getting progressively braver each attempt. Didnt get stuck or anything but after run 5 started feeling different so I washed off and called it a day.

Still had plenty of mud balancers on my rims for the trip back, along with a new solid mud mounting system for my exhaust. Vibration was turrrrrible at 60mph. Ecu also saw fit to only provide 6lbs of boost so it is pissed about something -- my guess is mud.

Got the hose out to further clean my wheels, took a look, went back, got a hammer and chisel. (Kidding). Got the mud balancers removed, spraying the underside dropped about 50lbs of mud onto the pavement. Bonus - weight reduction!
I
Once my car dries, first on the list is replacing this alternator positive cable that we found all fubared & taped up.

Wish I could have stayed longer... enjoy tomorrow!

Awesome show this year! Lotta really nice cars including a few BC/BJs. BMXKelowna's RHD JDM Legacy is really nice and was great to see in person. Just a little disappointed that I didn't get to meat you in person.
It was good to finally meet Chris and see his very nicely modded SS and see it take on the mud pit. Glad to help with the alt and also glad to hear that you made it home.
It was a lotta fun to see and hang out with everybody.
I don't know how next year's show is gonna top this one, but I'm already looking forward to finding out.

I had a lot of fun as well. Ate some delicious Salmon at Kleinkid's tent, cooked by Omni. Later on that evening, stopped by a guy's campsite named Odin, who had some ludicrously good ribs and corn. He may/should be a vender next year, and certainly had the support of everyone who tried it. He had some kind of hard alcohol with apple slices in the mix.

Don't remember too much after that, but I made it to my camp site safe and sound. Didn't even stir when someone tripped over me lol. I'm glad I made it, even though I was way late.

Tony, there were some ridiculously nice cars there, especially the 1st gens. I didn't take any pics, sadly, cause I wasn't gonna go, then plans changed last minute and I forgot a ton of stuff.

On another note, I got in line to do the mud pit, and halfway thru the line my battery light came on. Alternator failed. Gf had to use her shiny new card to get a new alt to make it home :-(

I won $100 gift certificate to PRE in portland. Already emailed them about ordering a set of whiteline roll center/bump steer correction endlinks for lowered cars. My endlinks are worn and I could use all the geometry correction I can get. They're like $240...but $100 off would be nice and they may have them cheaper then whiteline's MSRP.

It's a good thing your alternator broke or you'd have broken the whole car. Plus who the hell wants to clean off all that mud from your undercarriage? Not this guy. I think your car took one look at that pit and said,"Oh hells no. Not in my house!"

My car was happy today after an ECU reset and after all the water from last night's spray-off in the driveway dried. Brakes musta rusted overnight good and car squeaked LOUD for the 1st couple hundred feet but it went away. Without mud balancers on my tires, it rides much nicer - and without the solid mud exhaust mount setup, minor bumps didn't result in dried mud knocking on the floor to say 'hello.'

I wanted to go through the pit again at higher and higher throttle but was afraid of breaking something. Glad at the very least I didn't end up stuck in there! (thank you, rear LSD)

Alternator fun all around, huh? That one from the JY regulates perfectly (for now).

Edit: LOL you climbed the hill?? Wish I was there to see that. I was surprised that wasn't one of the 'play areas.'

After the mud-pit --- I got a little dirty. I really get the feeling I could have romped on the throttle and even turned on my MBC here, I babied it because I was afraid of getting stuck. ...Need more mud pit!

I read the blurb the WCSS event coordinators posted on FB. I obviously don't know what happened other than what I have heard/read. The only thing I can suggest is if you do know anything is maybe to contact the event coordinators, but I'm not sure what that will do at this point.

For those that haven't seen the post, here it is:
By West Coast Subaru Show wrote:
WCSS 15 Report Card //

Camping behavior at this years show was far less than acceptable.

Our staff was met with:
- Rude people
- Burnouts, Donuts, and Aggressive driving through the grounds
- Beer cans/bottles, Cigarettes, and other garbage in areas NOBODY should have been in.
- Verbal fights with threats of physical violence over past bad deals and using the hose too long.
- Saran wrapped cars, Shaving cream on cars, silly string on cars.
- People attempting to drive their cars when obviously very drunk.
- Assault, Attempted Vehicle Theft, Boldface lying, and group corroboration.

Walking through the gate at WCSS is not a free pass to do whatever the hell you want. Dan and I do not invest our time, money, and put our names on the line to be your baby sitters. People have shown a lack of respect for the show, and others. Demonstrated by their unwillingness to participate (probably just there to camp/get smashed) and by people leaving the awards ceremony before it was completed (but definitely immediately after the final raffle prize).

This event has degraded to the point where we have to act as police in the campgrounds. We don't host this show to be police. We host the show for the people, for the friends, for the good times. It blows to be viewed as the police and every time we walk into a camp site it's automatically assumed that some one is in trouble. I'd love to be able to walk up, say hey, have a drink and hang out with out with everyone without having to be concerned with what's going on in the campgrounds around us. But I can't. We have to be police. And that's not what we're in this for.

The antics crossed a line on Saturday night, when one of my Staff, one of my close friends, was injured. Why am I putting on an event where I am putting the people that help me in danger? How is that worth it to me? On top of doing something stupid, this person avoided acknowledging they did anything wrong, avoided apology, and would not even give us their real name. This person lied to my face, and showed no remorse for his actions. His "friends" and those camping around him helped disguise his identity, and would not cooperate with me or my staff.

At this point, I have a list of 5 cars / names that are banned from all future events that I am a part of. All of them early legacy's that were camped just off one of the main driving paths. Their car numbers are: 202, 83, 277, 56, 423 . At this point we are not posting names or license plates until we have legal counsel tell us we can/can't.

As Dan and I move into the off season, we are demotivated and disheartened. We had already begun talking with next years location, but now are rethinking if deposits should be made to hold the date we wanted. We are going to do some soul searching and see if this is something we want to continue to be a part of.

We have brainstormed a couple changes and solutions...
- No Show
- No Camping
- Camping by invite only
- Event by invite only
- Paid, 3rd party Security personnel or off duty cop
- Dry event

Sincerely,

Tex

All I know is I spent almost all of Saturday night hanging around the back of my drinking and consuming some Washington green herb. Other thanbbeing around my car, I would walk around the campground once in a while. I didn't do anything wrong as far as I can understand.
