SS braided brake lines $ PM for quote $

This pic is an example of a clutch hose. It's NOT a pic of the 1st gen Legacy.

That's a picture of a brake line?

Do you have a picture of the clutch lines?

Are you familiar with our cars' clutch plumbing? 92-94 turbos have two hoses, each with a 10mm banjo fitting on each end. 91 turbos have a slightly different setup; if I remember right it has one hose like that, one hose with the same fittings as the brake lines (a 10mm banjo on one end and a M10x1.0 female flare on the other), and one hard line.

That is a pic of a Forester/ 2nd gen Legacy clutch hose. It is used as an example only. That is the only one I have on me at the moment.

Don't worry Shane, I'll need one of those too for the wife's 5MT. The stock line allows for a soft pedal feel even after a new clutch & pressure plate. I figure a braided line & good quality fluid will greatly help that problem.

Jason the one I have now will fit her car. I can get these on demand but won't be stocking too many of them in the future.

Ok, I'll have a couple things to get for both cars in mid January with school refund money. So I'll make sure to let you know about a week ahead of time.

Reason - Cool, when you get the 1st-gen stuff I'd like to see it; I have a pseudo homebrew setup right now but it'd be nice to have a 1-piece stainless steel braided clutch hose.

Is the $90 per line or for the set of 4 lines?

I'm pretty sure it's for the whole set. Otherwise that's kinda pricey for some hoses....

I think the prices on the brake lines are different. I'll follow up when I get the email.

They are hyrdo. You can make the one pictured above work for a 1st-gen by using a simple male-male adapter you can find at most NAPAish stores.

Just FWIW, that's what I'm doing.

What do the connections look like? If I can find a stock hose I can have them made up.

Sorry for the slow response.

I don't have a picture of the adapter, it's really more of a male - male coupler.

The 1-gen MC's have a female thread port, same size/thread pitch as the hose pictured above. So if you get a male-male coupler with same size thread as the hose then you just screw one end into the hose and the other into the MC.

It was actually the same as my new 02' WRX MC now that I think about it.

That clear it up a little?
