Clutch and flywheel will be here tomorrow! I still need to order the timing belt kit but I don't want to spend $200. I also need to order valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires.

If $$ is tight, you can go to a wrecking yard and tear apart some timing covers and find good idler pulleys. I think autozone charges around 40 bucks for a belt. That'd be a lot less than 200.

Damn I haven't updated in so long! I got super busy with work and traveling, plus it's been so ******* cold in VA until like two weeks ago.

I haven't done much really, but I cleaned my motor up and painted some pieces. I need to put the fuel lines back on still:

I also finally took the time to put my new clutch and flywheel on:

It looks like a car, and one day soon I will put that motor in.

I was visited by an old friend who held te37s perfect for test fitting, and I could not say no:

The install process was pretty straightforward, as expected. The trickiest part was getting everything lined up. Total time spent actually working was less than an hour to get it all bolted together. This includes many breaks.

Here is a more close up photo of the final resting place of señor ej20k. That is until it is strewn across the junkyard floor.

I took a bunch of photos today so I could try to figure out what plug goes where, and what will need to be merged. If anyone wants to help me identity these things it would be much appreciated!

These came with my EJ20k:

Can you take a very high res. photo of the harness and looking directly into the connectors? I don't think what you have labeled so far is 100% correct.

Thanks Joe.

Can you take a high res of the harness laid out; an overall like the one below and then maybe closer sections of the harness? Also, can you label the high res individual photos you took with the number scheme so I can tie what goes where on the harness?

I swear I already posted this but oh well. I decided that I am going with iWire for a harness.

It is certainly expensive, but not prohibitively so; The cost of the conversion itself is $850, plus $110 for auto to manual wiring. I also have to provide an uncut v4 STI bulkhead harness, from a 97/98 JDM STI. I of course do not have this laying around so I need to either find one for sale somewhere, or purchase from iWire at the cost of $550. I then have to remove my bulkhead harness and send to iWire.

Cliff Notes: Someone find me a V4 STI bulkhead harness, and gain my eternal love.
