How old are you? I'm 22 (23 on saturday). I have on ticket on my record for about 5mph over and it was that high before the ticket. Other than that my record is clean. I've gotten quotes from every insurance. But no that's not just liability. It's full coverage.

gotta love having a wife with a clean driving record you can register cars in your name here in wa even if you're revoked/don't or never even had a license. they're not too anal about that but if it's driving on the road and cops run your plate (The can do that anytime they want here) then they automatically pull you over

Actually, some of the cars are equipped w/ scanners that can read up to 18 plates at a time and automatically alert the officer if it reads one whose registered owner's license in suspended, etc.
There are ways to get around it. Best way is not to ride dirty. But its just another way for the man to get you, so watch out.

So did you rewire your blinkers to the corner lights? Did you have to buy anything else or did you use only the stuff that came with that GC8 kit?

Actually it wasn't a gc8 kit. i already had a greddy kit for an 02 wrx and the way the cold side pipe ran, the coolant overflow tank had to be relocated. i didn't want to do that. so i ordered a universal kit from cx racing and used the good ol' chop saw with a carbide blade. took all day but the end result, i belive, looks relatively professional.

i have not done anything with the side markers yet. i have to figure out why it's misfiring now. i think i might have broken a spark plug wire... which sucks cuz they're brand new..... but i will hopefully know what's wrong tomorrow because im buying tabs and adding it to my insurance tomorrow and would love to go on a cruise with the wife and baby in the SS.

Well you'd better get some blinkers on the front! Trust me I drove mine without blinkers on the front when I was in the middle of switching them to the corner lights and I felt like an asshole at intersections because people think you're not signaling.

So did you combine the two kits or did you just use the CX racing one?

i combined the 2 kits, and the blinkers are installed now, the sidemarkers aren't yet. they, too, are going to be turn signal

Well let's say I buy the CX racing kit. What else would I need to buy to finish it?

uh, i think if you buy the GC8 kit it's fairly bolt on, you may need a small piece of pipe incase you need to travel. if you buy a 2.75" kit i have a few pieces left over.

Why is my car misfiring? I checked the plugs, wires, injector plugs, coil pack. all this happened after i put the intercooler on but i doubt an intercooler will cause a misfire. i check the wires i worked around and they look fine.
Correct me if im wrong but would i need to check injectors and timing next? It's seriously sounding like it running on 3 cylinders

Nevermind, figured it out. Anyways i am real happy with the SS now got tabs for it today so me and the wife & kid went for a drive and it did great. only put 40 miles on it but i was happy. Waterfront Tomorrow!!! and alot of driving and breaking in left to do. Alarm and plugs (again) and interior to do aswell. WCSS12 Here i come.

Well, I've had a setback with a seller on ebay and that may have put me back a couple months so I'm shooting for mid july. Got some work to do for sure but it's doable. Definitely in time for the show.

I "Plan" to get it re painted in august/september.

Until then now i have to work out some minor details. exhaust wrapping, sunroof doesn't work, brakes are squeeling kinda bad w/ new pads so i have to work on them, install my front crossdrilled/slotted rotors, find more interior pieces and work on some misc stuff. put over 200 miles on it now so im close to my 350mile head break in. woohoo

Looks like you're missing the same radiator bracket as I am.

yeah lol... It's actually an N/A radiator. So the mount serves only 1 purpose. to hold my hood prop.

Got my Exhaust wrapping the other day but i haven't had time to get it on. Went with the 1"x50'

Got around to some of my primer work today, painted both black fenders and the spoiler... i just did a temp job on this stuff for now until i can buy a sprayer and the color i want.

this weekend i am going to try to tackle the hood and bumper




Also found some a pillar pod from some sort of honda.... doesn't fit perfect but the boost gauge is out of my heater vent now and i can actually see it. need 2 more gauges tho.
