One small nugget I learned, the tgv position sensor is the same as the tps on the wrx and a few other phase 2 cars. Definitely worth keeping around just in case.

Is there anything in the TGV kit that seals where the rod goes between the two cylinders?
I didn't see anything in the pics you posted.

Hmmm, I don't think I'd want the intake runners connected like that so close to the heads. Have you read any info about that in your research?

Do you mind explaining your concern about leaving the middle holes open Josh?

Re: CJ's Prefaced 92 SS build 22T/205 Hybrid
I guess my concern is about individual cylinder pressure differences affecting the adjacent cylinder. It may not ever be an issue, but each cylinder will have its own pressure/vacuum gradient in each intake runner. As one cylinder is drawing in air the pressure near the head will be slightly less then at the start of the intake runner. If the adjacent cylinder does not have any valves open the pressure in that intake runner will be slightly higher and cause air to flow through where the rod used to be.
Again, I don't know if this is a concern, but it's something that I could see happening. Subaru designed the longer intake runners to improve torque, so by having a connection to the adjacent cylinder that can affect the pressure the cylinder is seeing it may also affect the overall intake design and torque delivery.
I would say this is all theoretical, and you'd almost have to try the TGV deletes with the hole open and then with it plugged to see if there's any difference. It may not matter all.

I guess if something doesn't feel right I could pull 2 plugs and insert some 5/16 aluminum rod into the middle holes.

Re: CJ's Prefaced 92 SS build 22T/205 Hybrid
I've been unloading quite a bit of parts off the white car. Man I should do this more often.
That thing is almost ready to go away.
Anyways Still been busy on this as well, I got most of my intake manifold hooked back up. I had to do some bending of the fuel lines to accommodate the different crossover pipe. Probably going to have to order some tubing to route my BPV as well. Everything is different....
Injectors are installed but they're loose. I ordered a whole new seal kit online. Installed thee kit, but I can easily move the injectors up and down. So I went to DrInjector in Tacoma and talked to them, He hooked me up with some taller seals. SWEET!
Here's the kit I ordered
Here's the taller seals.
Also got my Kinugawa exhaust manifold gaskes and cam tool
Started Prepping my valve covers for breathers, Still waiting on 2 brass 1/2" elbows to show up at my local hardware store.
Already uploaded this to Facebook but It should be here too. Intake manifold is pretty much ready to get bolted on for the last time. I did make some adjustments to the Purge control solenoid lines based on some info I cam across on nasioc.com. I'll try to find the link so I can share, If any one cares to know.
This is before I made changes.
And walking down the plumbing section of Lowe's I came across this. Me and my wife LOLd. I had to take a picture...

I'm also considering picking up one of these.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131434704920?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
http://forgedracingradiators.com/
I haven't heard of them before, but it looks like they are quality. There's a lot of cars on the site with their radiators.
They offer GC WRX and GD WRX radiators.

Re: CJ's Prefaced 92 SS build 22T/205 Hybrid
And some more stuff happened this weekend. Breathers done, timing done, and zip ties used!
Slow and steady gets it done right?
Cleaned up the PCV system on the manifold as stated above. I couldn't get the purge valve to mount where it was supposed to. So I intended to move it, then realized I could get rid of some stuff based on this thread.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... st39455949
So I cleaned up some vacuum lines!
Got the breathers installed on the valve covers, picking up some elbows tomorrow.
Here's the ebay injector top seats (left) compared to the seats I got from DrInjector (right.) They worked out perfect.
And some green for fun.

I think the guys name was Allen. Really nice fellow tho. He had no problems showing me how to remove the filters on the injectors.
I got my headers wrapped and installed also the turbo is on. I wanna find new banjo bolts for the coolant tubes tho. Mine are kinda rusty.

Copied from facebook messenger:
Still need p.s. lines, wide band, boost, pick up my p.s. pump stuff from kimo, some stuff to do my bpv, egt sensor, more I'm sure. And still interior work.
But now i also need to order a clutch slave. I hooked up the pedal and the rod for the fork last night to make sure the clutch was working, nope. I bled it with a vacuum bleeder and went thru quite a bit of fluid but the pedal went to the floor numourous times. looked around the master and slave for leaks and there's fluid coming out of the plunger seal.

Re: CJ's Prefaced 92 SS build 22T/205 Hybrid
Since I used the 25D cross over pipe, I had both of the heater core lines right there on the drivers side head, basically the old design. The newer stuff had both lines for the heater core itself on the drivers side, So I used 2 LH heater core rubber lines, works out perfect.
Got the clutch all dialed in with some misc spare stuff I had sitting around. I'm glad I had extra stuff. Found a different slave cyl, took it all apart and made sure it wasn't rusted out inside, lubed it all up and put it on. I got rid of the clutch damper too.
I still haven't bled the brakes yet in hopes of finding an SVX master cyl. Probably wont tho. I may just get stuck with this 1" master cyl.
I got my o2 sensors that I ordered. Still need some silicone couplers which are in the mail now. Bunch of misc tidbits need to be ordered as well.

Some little updates. getting some power steering components today. Grimmspeed EBCS ordered. Trying to find some power steering lines locally. I had the low pressure side mocked up using legacy stuff, but for some reason I thought the newer wrx stuff would have different fittings. Guess I should have looked into it more.
JDM Power steering cooler installed. I only got it for the "cool" factor. Intercooler is on as well.
