Hey Brad,

Take it from a guy that has both an sti and a ss. The ss is a lot more fun to drive around and is more practical. I love my sti more then the ss but i cant drive it everywhere like i do the ss because i got so much money invested in it. I worry about it getting stolen,vandalized etc.Why don't you finish the ss and after you do that stis will be even cheaper to purchase and buy and sti when the time is right. In my opinion you got some time and money in the ss and it would be sweat to do the swap.

STIs are pretty sick and I drool over them every time I see one but at the same time I'm thinking,"fuckin rich kids". So it's a double edge sword.

Thanks D, I do agree with you. I know it would be something not a lot of people have and it would def give me more satisfaction out of smokin' people in the wagon compared to a car that is "supposed" to be fast.

I want to finish my project. I think it would be sweeter like you say.

I would actually be in a reversed position. I've got so much money and time invested in the Legacy that I woudln't want to drive it everywhere. Yet if I bought an STi I likely wouldn't care since it would be mostly stock.

It's a double edged sword, no matter what you buy you are probably going to mod it and be worried about it constantly. The only reason I like my Impreza better than starting with a SS or anything older is the safety of the newer chassis.

Very nice so far. Don't worry, I tore apart my first Subaru engine last year when I was 17, and hardly knew what I was doing. But when I dropped my engine in everything ran good. It was a lot of fun and you learn a lot. I hope to get my hands on an EJ22T soon, but with school and work, I don't think it's going to happen. Plus my dad says if I bring another 1st generation legacy home he says I have to work on it in the street because he is sick of seeing them.

It did make a difference in how it looks. It was well worth 10 minutes to do...

Now find some unchipped trim for the roof line, tint your windows and find some white door handles from a 92-94 and it'll look sick.
