Just a couple updated photos and my new six speed badge and black aluminum reverse lockout. Car is parked for the winter now and I have a few things planned for it. Feels so good to end the season with it running and looking good parked inside a garage not 1600 miles away in a field

Finally got a rear OEM lip for the wagon.

Will be pulling front subframe here shortly to replace steering rack, power steering pump, whiteline tierods and ball joints and reseal on the oil pan. Also will be either replacing or fixing my catch cans as they like to leak out anything that gets collected in them. Hopefully that will fix my power steering issues and any oil leaks

Still wrenching away cleaning up the front end on the wagon. Got the front subframe pulled to replace the steering rack and reseal the oil pan.

Image

While I had everything apart I noticed one wheel bearing had play turns out the bearing had been replaced before and the hub had damage from a spun bearing.

Image

Build up of grease around the control arm bushings lead me to inspect and find torn bushings so I have whiteline replacements on the way.

Image

New brake dust Shields and cleaned up coil overs with coilover bags to keep them clean.

I realized the other day I never installed the black trim ring onto my ignition cylinder after my car was broken into years ago, so naturally had to change it up a bit and installed the red LGT ignition ring

Been a while since I've updated my build.
Just got the car back on the road yesterday. Nothing majorly new mechanical wise just cleaned up a couple things and replaced a couple coolant hoses, but I finally got around to building my custom hood with a 4th gen LGT scoop and fitted 3rd gen outback side skirts.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Thanks! was a little bit of work but came out clean.

I cut the LGT hood scoop out in a fairly simple centered pattern that gave me a nice flat mounting flange. I then measured out and cut the first gen hood (NA hood don't worry I didn't kill a turbo hood) with about an inch of over lap. the 1gen hood was then notched down so the lgt scoop sat flush. I used 3M panel bond to adhere the scoop to the hood and machine screws to hold it down while it cured. everything was then smoothed out starting with glass filler and working my way down to glaze putty, blending it in to look factory. the underside was cleaned up and the seam was finished with some 3M seam sealer before paint.

I'll add some photos of the process in my next post
