Nico,
Can you elaborate on what you did to the shifter? I see you have upgraded bushing in the joint and pivot on the lever, but is there anything else you changed?

instead of rubber or plastic I made brass so copy original's, then that busing I pressed in was the same size as the rear control arms from svx pillow ball and made bushing to take the slack for bolt like stock.
the tricky part is the pillow ball with race and cup to fit in the lower section of leaver. clip to hold it all together

Re: 86 Subaru Leone
well here it is ready to get sent for paint and now we are all caught up with the build thread on the wagon.
insert EJ22T ( forged built bottom end ) EJ207 STi V8 big port heads, Turbo ?? maybe ( twin scroll / single scroll ) rotated & 6MT six speed STi R180 diff.

Re: 86 Subaru Leone
many parts have come in for the motor now its time to dig a ej22t block out and build it while I wait for paint work.
Wossner Made in Germany forged 22B pistons and connecting rods, STD size pistons means no messing around with my ej22t block & machine shop
.... I should have just built all my ej22T this way

ACL racing STD size bearings not race version, STi spec-c oil cooler adapter, proper water pump with single port and old school timing belt tensioner from the ej22t aka the motorsports racing tensioner.

aurora asm-10T military aviation spec front control arm spherical bearings, this will all me to run longer aka normal Subaru length CV axles and also camber. I won't need to modify the front crossmember to except XT6 front control arms.

lots of mess

This reminds me of those "how to draw a thing" memes where it's just first draw a circle, then make a portrait.
Here's a table of parts, bam now we have a rad car. lol.
Thank goodness you're better at documenting things that a lot of people.

Re: 86 Subaru Leone
I think the reason people usually go with oversize pistons is the cylinders sometimes aren't perfectly round after time. They become slightly ovaled and the boring out brings them back to basically perfect again.

yes correct, all the blocks I've owned seem to be fine over time

ADDCO 22M front and rear sway bar set up for the wagon

Battery tray removed so I can slide them spark plugs in in seconds & front mount intercooler holes cut before paint work

hydraulic clutch slave holes drilled

BRZ koyo radiator fits like a glove

Re: 86 Subaru Leone
That's cool you can use BRZ parts
Regarding the shifter, I've been happy with mine. I used TiC's poly bushings on everything and it's very solid feeling.
