Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Thank you thank you! I actually haven't put the chrome strip on the moldings or bumper yet. I do like how it looks likeout chrome. I was considering covering all the chrome trim with a nice matte silver, kinda how s-line Audi's have

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
I swear every time I talk to a new person they recommend a different setup for wiring. Last night I had three people explain to me why they think Microsquirt is the way to go, so I reached out to diyautotune for some pricing and parts only comes out to right around what the iWire merge would cost. I bought some connectors and wire so I could begin following the process explained here:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45769
I made a little harness to go between the ECU and each coil:
and here is a photo of my car, looking the same, from a different angle:

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Made these so I can hook up the COP set up, in a clean fashion. Still looking for some COP pigtails so I don't have to wire directly to the coil.
Converted my alternator wiring from three wire to two, to match the car. Again I tried to make it clean and hidden:
I also moved the fusebox from the factory location to just behind the left headlight. I did not take a picture of that.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
if you cant find pigtails to match the connectors on the coil side, why dont you just change both sides to match each other?

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
well then thats even easier. just get a weather proof or molex connector with two or three pin locations and just make your own connections.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
i think im picking up what youre putting down. you have the oem plug on the coil side and you dont have the other connector on the harness side. i mean changing both sides to match eahcother would work awesome, but the downside being that everytime you changed you coils, youd have to swap on a new connector.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Nah, the other way around. The coils have nothing plugged into them and the harness I have (ej20k) utilized wasted spark setup.ride_child wrote:i think im picking up what youre putting down. you have the oem plug on the coil side and you dont have the other connector on the harness side. i mean changing both sides to match eahcother would work awesome, but the downside being that everytime you changed you coils, youd have to swap on a new connector.

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Holy shit its been forever since I updated, or worked on my car really!
I just ordered a few things from DIYAUTOTUNE so I can begin getting Megasquirt set up. So if anyone wants to help or offer advice on getting my motor to run on MS, greatly appreciated

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
If your converting to COP and need the 3 wire plug that connects to the coil, that plug can be purchased and I can point you in the wright direction where to do so. Lmk if that's the drift I'm catching.

That is indeed what I am in need of, and would appreciate that! Also, I travel to Colorado often and each time it makes me like Virginia a little bit less.dankberries wrote:If your converting to COP and need the 3 wire plug that connects to the coil, that plug can be purchased and I can point you in the wright direction where to do so. Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
That seems to be the trend. Colorado is now in the top 3 population growing states in the country. For someone like myself that has lived in CO my whole life, it's very over whelming to say the least. It's really made things tuff from what it used to be, sad really. I try not to be a hater, I get it, CO is awesome, that's why I haven't left. Just don't be the douche from out of state, in the left lane, going 10mph under the speed limit, not passing anyone.Sublimejoe wrote:Also, I travel to Colorado often and each time it makes me like Virginia a little bit less.
What year COP are you using?

Re: Joe's 93 RHD Legacy Wagon Build
Trust me man, I know the feeling. Virginia farmland is getting destroyed by expansion, I definitely don't ever want that to happen in Colorado. My close friends there are born and raised as well and they have expressed the same sadness. Anyway, I think my COP are from an 06. Im not positive though, any way I can tell?
