That flange is for your recirc valve, or BOV, what ever you decide to use. Look at some of the posts with pictures of IC's like yours to see how others have fabricated a flange to work there.

For example.

I made a flange with a 90 elbow on it running over top of the TB connection. Here is a pic

I used one of these from my local Lowes, without the o-ring and foam piece. I will try to get a picture tonight.

Here it is, the only difference is the engine is in a 85 GL wagon so I can have the intercooler sit farther back for the coolant tank. The hardest part was just getting the nut to 'sinch' down in the inside of the intercooler. I just used my finger to get it lined up then used a stereo removal tool to hold the nut while I tightened it down.

Wow, that looks terrific! Jackpot!! The 69 cent question is what is that piece called and where at Lowes did you get it? Please, the more info the better...

Oh, and what's it made of PVC? Can it handle extreme temps?...

It is found the the electrical conduit section, called a 3/4" 90 Degree Connector. Lowes #116027, here is the link to their page.

Uh, I'll be heading down there tomorrow for that sweetheart....

So how hard do you crank it down and I'm not sure I know what a stereo removal tool looks like but I think it's a needlenose with right angled tips...

However, I'm not sure if this material is rated for engine temps?

Folks, what do you think we're talking here for ambient temps?

This gives some temp rating for the material...

Thanks again for posting. If this works out this will save a lot of folks grief.

I have been running it for two months so far and no problems yet. I think the temps will be fine since it it on the opposite side of the turbo/exhaust, and the scoop keep cooler air moving down and lets the hot air keep moving out the top when not moving.

The useful part of the stereo removal tool is just a piece of 1/16"x1/4" metal with a short 90deg. bend on one end used to hole the nut inplace, then keep it from rotating. This work well just kind of a pain to install.

Are you using the stock VF11?

How did you hook the Y-pipe up to it (since it has the clocked outlet)?

Yes I am running the stock VF-11, I had to fab up a short charge tube to the intercooler to run the clocked outlet. I will get pictures this weekend of the pipe for people to see.

I just beveled the non-threaded portion where it attaches to the intercooler so it will seat down to the BPV hole, and then just snugged it down fairly tight. This week I will get another one and do a quick write up on how I installed it.

I think you need the turbo XS blowoff adapter plate or an eBay version of one.

But double check with the Brat guy.
