Can anyone ID this TMIC?

Post by Grayguy »

I just put this on my car. I traded a stock WRX intercooler for it. I figured it was an Ebay one or something until I took it to my friends shop to check it out and he told me how nice it was.

It's a Bar/plate style, has 2 smaller cores welded together, and it's about 3.5-4 inches thick (haven't actaully measured). He also said the welds look like they were hand done by a very good welder. So does anyone have any idea where this came from?

Agreed. That's exactly what the intercooler on my friend's boosted 2.5RS looks like.

+1 that is off a old turbo kit.

The welds are TIG'd & will usually come out nice if the welder has skill + the material is clean/not contaminated.

Looks good on your car great trade!
