what would your opinion be?

Post by 92wagon »

I'm looking for a new muffler for my 1992 Legacy 2.2L N/A 4WD wagon.

:I need some opinions of:

Where did you find yours?

what brand?/ is there actually options?

how you like it?

has it held up?

thanks for your help!

nice post, simple and straight to the point.

ive used a stock STI catback exhaust.
got it for 70 bucks on nasioc
looks good and sounds just like an STI. (just without the power)
lasted me the whole time i had the car, the new owner still sports the same exhaust.

just the muffler, no.
if u get a catback, u have to cut, rotate and extend the flange to connect to the cat. all hangers match up.

Fabrication will be needed to fit any exhaust off any other car. Mostly lengthening the midpipe I hear. I don't know of any aftermarket exhausts for our cars except maybe a crazy expensive ausie one I think I recall hearing of.

my N/A exhaust is what looks to be just shy of 2in. so it doesn't just bolt up does it?

it was an 07 STI catback. if ur just using the muffler, (which should be around 40-50 bukcs) u shouldnt have any problems. its when u do the catback, the midpipe needs to be cut, rotated and extended.
