aftermarket up pipe to replace craked and leaky ss up pipe

just wanted your guys opinions on this the up pipe on my ss started leaking at where i thought was the gasket but one i go to crawl under my car i notice its got a giant crack in it soooo its needs replacing i have no access to a welder or anything unfortunately would this wrx cat less up pipe work as a replacement i really don't wanna get rid of the stock exhaust manifold setup for an aftermarket header from what iv read it kills turbo spool and you lose torque but i need this fixed sooon its terrible heirs a pic of the up pipe

My recommendation would be to try and find an STi up-pipe. They are identical to the turbo legacy up-pipe. I didn't have good luck with an aftermarket up-pipe. It even had a flex joint, but I couldn't get it to fit. Not saying the one above won't fit, but if I had a choice, I'd go back with the stock up-pipe.

yeah i hear ya im no fan of aftermarket headers or junk on ebay i just cant find any parts around here in Spokane WA an sti up pipe sounds like my best bet i wish i could just get mine welded up and put back on but i cant afford down time on my car atm :( i won the bid on this downpipe for $45 so well see how it works if it does fit im gonna work on getting my stock SS down pipe fixed just cant do anything with it until its off the car i hate being in a position like this thanks for the input :smt023

You're welcome. Hopefully that one will work for you in the mean time so you get the stock one repaired.

Let us know how the fitment of this ebay pipe is, im in the same situation, i have 3 spare pipes but all leak when i hook it up to my smoke tester at the flex joint..
