You might want to be a little more descriptive about the poll... Are those numbers for city or highway driving?

good idea to make this a poll so the results are easy to understand. this should become a sticky since it is frequently asked.

I just kinda figured it was average.

Considering highway and city driving, I get around 22-23 with AWD and 20-50w oil.

I am going to leave this stickied until traffic dies down, and then will link to it in the sticky compilation thread.

I don't like multiple stickies.

Perhaps 2WD owners need to be taken into account, or recomended not to vote.

2wd didn't make much hill a beans difference.

I got better mileage with my AWD 5spd n/a then I did with FWD 4eat.

I've gotten over 27MPG once, by my calculations. Normally I get 25-26 with mixed driving.

Keep in mind that this is a modded 2.5L 5MT AWD car that weighs over 3400lbs.

The gas mileage is one reason to not go turbo :)

FWIW, my 93 5MT Touring Wagon almost always got 20-22MPG.

It took me a while to find the appropriate calculators to convert km and litres to mpg lol. I usually get 410 to 450 miles per tank in my 2006 liberty with EJ20 quad cam n/a 5sp.
Usual mpg is 29.40 but it has been known to hit 33.60 on pure high way driving. :-D

23 at best, n/a.

Reason: CEL for the o2 sensor thanks to a ghetto muffler shop's hack job on a new cat. I've seen 28.

I used to get 28 mpg on the freeway before I put in the vf8, and at worst I'd see 19 in the city. I now see 17-18, but no better than 22 mixed city/freeway driving. I think full freeway I get around 24-26. I hear the MSD ignition helped out fuel economy a bit.

Very interesting. Recently noticed the vacuum lines from the Duty Solenoid Valve to the air resonator and intake to the purge control solenoid were disconnected. Re-attached those and installed a new fuel filter. My pure city driving went from ~16 to 20 mpg. My pure highway driving went from ~18 to 24 mpg! :-D.

Thats a pretty impressive change for 'minor' things.

Just got over 26 mpg in my SS on a North Carolina trip for a wedding. Never go too fast by yourself, follow people going 80+ all day and your gas mileage stays decent. I got 370 miles on one tank and still only needed 14 gallons to fill up. :)

I drove down to Oregon and got about 28 highway but usual is 23 to 24 mpg with a mix of city and highway (mostly city). It used to average between 21 to 22 but I replaced the fuel filter and switched to synthetic oil 5W-30. I try to stay around 2500 RPMs because my NA 4EAT seems to accelerate the best without sacrificing fuel economy.

I can get 300km going from full to hitting the bottom of the gauge and with 10 litres left reserve.
Something is seriously wrong with my car.
